"Ah Leona. Done training with Steve?" Natasha greeted me getting me back to reality.

"Hm? Oh yes miss Natasha." I answered.

"You seem distracted." They noted.

"It's nothing. Don't worry. You said to come find you for the ground-rules." I reminded the red-head.

"Yes, well the obvious ones are no harming innocents, which in your case includes feeding from them, once your trial-period is over and you passed, tell either Clint or me if you go outside, where and when you are returning. If we are both unavailable, tell one of the others. Oh and clean up after yourself." She explained.

"Sounds fair enough." I shrugged.

"Good then from now until six weeks from now you are to train the whole morning with whoever isn't busy, be Banner's test-subject in the afternoon and in the evening after dinner and you've done the dishes, you'll have time for yourself." She added.

"Test-subject, miss?" That confused me.

"I want to learn more about you. Purely out of curiosity." Dr Banner said. "I don't want to do bad things or anything." His heartbeat wasn't changing, he wasn't lying.

"Very well." I sighed. I didn't want them to think I was keeping secrets that could bring harm. And that was exactly how I spend my six weeks trial-period, in order to gain the trust of the Avengers as the group is called. I trained with Thor or mr Steve the most, but sometimes with Miss Natasha as well. I told Dr Banner most of what he wanted to know. Mr Stark designed a suit of sorts for me around the end of the period.

Apparently they made a report about me for their boss as I was now in his office to talk. "Leona, you have proven that we can trust you so far. In a few hours you are to join Natasha and Clint on their mission." Fury said.

"Thank you sir. I was starting to get bored staying indoors." I smiled happy to hear this news.

"The mission requires you three to find vital information on abandoned army bases we suspect to be occupied by our enemy, Hydra." He explained.

"Any specific orders for me?" I asked.

"Not really just listen to Natasha. And don't betray my trust or it's a cell for you." I don't know how but something about the man made me not want to disappoint him.

"Yes sir. Thank you for allowing me a chance to be useful." I bowed my head a little before he dismissed me.

"Leona, Fury briefed you?" Miss Natasha asked when I found her.

"Yes Ma'am." I answered.

"Let's go. Clint is waiting up at the deck." We went up finding Clint next to a vehicle with Tony.

"Fang, I made you a little something as a present. Congrats on your first mission." Mr Stark had honored me with this nickname when we bonded over our shared love for mechanical engineering. At first I was annoyed but apparently it's his thing.

"What is it?" It was some sort of cloth.

"A suit. Fireproof since that seems to be one of your only weaknesses and a few little tricks added. Good luck." He said.

"Thank you sir." We got on quickly and I got dressed real quick not caring who saw what.

"How did you get that scar on your back, Leona?" Clint asked.

"You can see that?" I thought only vampires could.

"It's very faint, but yes." He answered.

"A long story, but I do wish to share. I feel like I can trust you both not to judge me."

"We have time. Our flight will take a while." Natasha answered. Clint put the quinjet on automatic pilot just so they could pay attention.

"When I came home from the army, I met this family of vampires. They were vegetarians as in they only drank from animals. My sister was dating one of them and I was good friends with the elder 'kids' we got invited to a baseball game where I found out my biological father was turned and had joined this band of misfits. All vampires. Their leader was a real hunter. The family provoked his instincts, by accident, and my sister and I were taken to Phoenix to stay out of harms way while the family was taking care of the hunter.

He found out, led my sister away from our companions, and I followed wanting to at least try and protect her. He had led us to this ballet-studio. I angered him to distract him. He threw me against mirrors and the glass cut my back open. Then he tried to feed from me, but I fed him a microbomb and then the cavalry arrived. Had the glass cut an inch or two to the left, I would've been paralyzed for the rest of my life if not worse." I concluded.

"That's horrible." Clint said.

"I've had worse." I shrugged remembering the torturous things Maylene came up with to try and kill me.

"Tell us?" Natasha asked.

"Hm, fine. I was a newly wed pregnant young woman the week before I was sent home from the army. When I was on the plane home, I was a widowed broken woman no longer pregnant or able to bare children and unable to use her hands for her job. I lost both my new husband and my unborn child within 48 hours between both losses. Any pregnancy after would only result in miscarriage.

After I had come home, I put my life on the line for my sister a total of five times while she ended up betraying me and using my wanting to protect her to save her ex's glittery ass leaving me behind in a highly dangerous place as life-insurance. Before I was turned I survived attempted murder four times until I got stabbed to death six times. A few days later I woke up the way I am now."

"You're not exaggerating are you?" Natasha asked.

"What reason would I have to do so? I have nothing to gain from either boasting or lying." I replied.

"How did you not get traumatized from all that?" They both wondered.

"I had good people who looked after me when I was having bad days." That made my heart ache a little, as I was missing everyone back home. It felt good to talk about it with people who weren't involved in someway. They didn't look at me with pity but sympathy.

So Leona is off on her first mission. let's hope she makes a good impression. As I wrote this chapter, I also came up with ideas for certain events which I also wrote some bits and pieces for. And I have a question or two for you. the reader.

1: If Leona ever happened to fight the Hulk, who would win?

2: I plan on following the storylines for some of the movies like Captain America The Winter Soldier. However I can't decide if Leona should take part in the 'civil war' or if she'll go with Thor and help him during Ragnarok. What do you think?

Let me know what you think and have a nice week!!
