"This allowed me to tell him what I had become, and he helped me realize that I didn't need to completely drain humans whenever I am thirsty. He said that he could understand I needed human blood in order to stay in control of my gift. I did have to promise him that as soon as I was able to control my feeding, that I would never let myself give in to the sometimes-sheer monstrous way my kind can get when they feed." I finished explaining to Dr Banner about my slight panic earlier.

"You have a strange family tree, don't you?" That had me snort in amusement.

"You have no idea. Oh, have you seen mr Stark?" I asked remembering why I came to the labs in the first place.

"He isn't back yet from his meetings. Was there something you needed?" He asked.

"Yes but I don't know who to ask about it. I thought he would be my best shot." was my reply.

"What is it about? perhaps I can help?" These humans are so nice to me. It felt odd but in a good way.

"Money or a side-job. I don't have either and I definitely need new clothes, if there are more missions that require me to murder people." I showed him my ruined shirt.

"Can't you extract the blood from your clothes? Clint mentioned that you did that." Oh right.

"Oh yeah I kind of forgot I can do that. Oh, and your capsules seem to work okay for a quick boost. I am slowly understanding that while my gift works with both natural and manmade materials, with the latter it takes more energy than with the natural materials. But even though I might be able to extract the blood, it isn't always wise to show my less than natural self."

"Then it would be smart to ask Tony about it yes."

"I heard my name. Nothing bad I hope?" The billionaire's voice said from the entrance.

"No, I was wondering about a job on the side. I don't have any money and the clothes I wear do tend to get ruined if missions like what happened at the triskelion are the average type of missions I get." I explained quickly.

"Ah but you do get paid for your help here. I wanted to surprise you but I set up an account for you and hire you as my assistant in making stuff for the team."

"Really? That's awesome! Thank you." I hugged the man shortly. He kind of made my dream to come true. My own place to repair and create tools and other things for people. Okay it wasn't an actual shop but still.

"You just need to sign a few things." He said motioning for me to follow him. Tony gave me a stack of papers which I read fast but also accurately. The job really did require me to just repair and create tools for the team, but also to help with damage control during and after battles.

"Tony? Why do I need to repair whatever damage caused during fights?" I asked.

"The avengers don't get paid for fights like the one in New York. So, we don't have a fund to pay for home repairs. We need your gift and your skill for that instead. It might help us to avoid getting in trouble if people decide to get mad at us for it." makes sense I suppose.

"Well okay. I'll see what I can do but won't it be suspicious if bloodbags keep disappearing? Like I told mr Banner, your capsules are enough to keep me going until I can feed, but they won't be enough for such big repairs." He listened with a serious look.

"Then let's hope those fights won't happen again." He shrugged but something told me he would try and do something about it.

"Yes, let's hope so." I signed the papers, and for a few months I did just that. Repairing and creating tools for Clint and help Tony when he needed it with his suits. I kept an eye on Steve and offered him my help with finding and helping his friend Bucky.

"That's kind of you. But not necessary." Steve said when I offered my help.

"You sure? Can you make certain his arm doesn't have a tracking device in it? Are you familiar enough with modern technology?" He knew I had a point.

"Okay I can't do that. You got me there, so let me rephrase that. I don't need your help as of right now." I could understand that.

"Alright, then tell me when you do and not a moment later. Deal?" I offered my hand.

"Deal." We shook hands before he left.

"What's this deal you just made? Nothing bad I hope?" a female voice asked. My favorite human in the team was finally back. She looked better than when she left.

"No nothing bad. Have you found yourself?" I asked curiously.

"I did. So, tell me all the gossip I missed?" She asked with a slight smile. I did just that while showing her my work area.

"Which one of you has been wanting to make Clint's arrows work like heat-seeking missiles?" She asked sounding amused. I had suggested that a couple of times but he always declined.

"I suggested that...wait how do you know about that?" I thought she had been busy with finding herself.

"I have been in touch with Clint. He kept an eye on you for me." She admitted.

"Why did you ask that of him?" Is that why he had been training with me more often?

"Well, you just went through something most would consider traumatizing. I mean you literally fell with a crashing building. You told me I was the first person here, you felt like you could really talk to, I was a bit concerned for your well-being. So I just asked him to look after you for a bit. He had no problem doing that." Those two humans, they keep being so kind, it makes me feel some sort of belonging. Perhaps that is why I feel a need to make sure they are safe. Natasha more so than Clint but still.

"T-thank you." I hugged her. She had no idea how much it means to me.

In one or two chapters Leona will be dealing with a certain pair of twins. How will she deal with Wanda's mindpower?

And I have yet another question. If Leona is able to somehow save someone from death, would you want her to? and if you do, who would you want to be saved?
Answers I get, might have an influence on how the story will continue.

Let me know what you think and have a nice week!!
