☆ Kit's POV ☆

- Flashback -

It was a great day with my friend. We just promised to never leave each other behind. I hope he keeps this promise.

I look up to the cherry tree high above me. A petal gently fell from the tree and rested in my light brown paw. I smiled softly at it. Then, I look up back to watch him pad away. His fluffy tail swaying slightly back and forth as he walked.

I nodded slightly as I believe I will see him again soon. I lifted myself up and started to walk home.

- Present time -

I stare down at my blue paws, then back at the project in front of me. I've been working on this project for a while now and it feels like I've gotten nowhere. It's starting to get on my nerves. I look up at my only light source, my desk lamp, for a moment.

' Maybe, I could do for some coffee ', I thought. I nodded to myself as I decided to go through with it. I get myself up from my desk, stretching out my tensed muscles as I do so. I grab a blue thin coat from my closet and I drape it over my body. Then, I turn to my lamp and turn it off.

- Small Timeskip -

I sat down on a bench near a familiar cherry tree. I watch the steam flow upwards from the warm coffee in the cup. I smile as I carefully blow on it and took a small sip.

Suddenly, I spot a shadow out of the corner of my eye. I tense up and hide behind the tree. As the shadow walked by, I sneakily and cautiously took a peek of the shadow's creator. It was a Flareon. He seemed strangely familiar somehow.

After the familiar Flareon was mainly out of sight, I crept back out behind the tree. However, I tripped on a rock and then caught my balance, sending coffee onto myself. I sighed deeply in frustration.

I twisted my ear towards a sound of pawsteps. I turn to see that Flareon again. Then, he came over to me.
" Are you alright? ", He asked.
" Yeah, I'm alright ", I answered while trying to rub away the coffee.
" Here, I always keep one on me ", He offered as he brought a napkin out of his hoodie pocket and gave it to me.
" Thanks ", I said as I started to wipe the coffee away with the napkin.

After I was finished, I crumpled the napkin into a small ball. I toss it into a trash can close by. Then, I gazed back at the Flareon, who seems to be in a trance of some sorts. I wave my paw in front of him. Then, His eyes tensed then softened as he zoned back in.
" Oh, I'm sorry. You just seem familiar and I just can't figure out why ", He said slightly startled.
My eye widened as I looked at him.
' He had that same weird feeling that I had ', I thought.
" Maybe, I have I met you before somewhere? ", He askes.

I gazed into his eyes as I thought for a moment. I've seen something very familiar to the glow in his eyes. Have I seen him before in a different time?

After, A couple of moments. I thought of something that I might sound crazy but I think might be it.
Is this Keegan?
The one eevee that made a promise to never leave my side?
About a year and a half ago?

" Keegan? ", I asked him quietly. His ears flicked upwards and his eyes widened as the name slipped out of my mouth.
" You do know me, but how? ", He asked surprised.
" Um, Do you remember a eevee named Kit? ", I asked. A smile crept upon the Flareon's face.
" Are you? ", He questioned excitedly. I nodded.

His whole face lit up. He hugged me suddenly. I jumped from the impact. He ruffled his face into my soft shoulder for a moment. Then, he pulled away while still holding onto me.
" Is this where you've been all this time? How've you been? ", He questioned with happiness making his tail shift from left to right. I giggled at him and we started to catch up with each other.

- Timeskip -

It was been a couple weeks since me and Keegan's reunion. Funny thing is, He's starting to get to me. Whenever he comes over to hang out, My stomach gets all light and I feel warmer than usual. My thoughts are all out of whack as well. Every train of thought, Always drifts over back to Keegan, one way or another. Thoughts about him are starting to get quite annoying.

I wrote multiple love letters to him, but I never send them. I keep them in a drawer to never to read and possibly to be thrown out soon. I sigh as I crumpled up another letter and threw the paper ball into the drawer.

I glance at the clock. ' 5:35 pm ', It read. I sigh as I opened up my backpack. I pulled some materials out for a school project.
" Since he'll be here about 7, I could work until 6:15 then take a shower ", I mumble to myself as I start to work.

- Timeskip -

I checked the clock after I finished my shower. ' 6:56 pm ', It read. I smiled as I sat down on the couch and waited for Keegan to arrive.

At exactly 7 pm, I hear a knock on my front door. It was Keegan, obviously. He greeted me with a bright friendly smile as usual. Then, He sat down his bag of stuff and we started our sleepover night.

- Next morning -

I blinked awake. As my eyes weren't used to the sudden soft brightness, I was blinded for a moment. I shook my head to clear it. I look over to Keegan's sleeping bag was. It was there, but he was not.

I had guessed he went to the kitchen for breakfast. So, I got up and looked for him there. When I got there, he just came into the room as well. I didn't think much of it. However, I did notice he was looking at me funny.

After a hour, His ride pulled up into the driveway. Keegan went down to it and put his stuff in it. Then, He came back towards me. He shyly looked down then, swiftly gave me a kiss on the cheek. Before I could even react, He flung himself to the car and got in. I just stood there for a bit, watching the car pull away and leave. After, I shook myself into reality again and closed the front door.

" But how? ", I mumbled to myself. I sighed and went into my room. As I glanced to my desk, I realized 'that' drawer was open. I remembered that I had closed it yesterday. Then, I gazed over the floor where one of the letters was laying. I mentally facepalmed myself.
" He knows.. ", I say dreadfully.
" Wait then, why did he- ", I started. I smack my paw into my face.

After a couple of deep thoughts and mental screaming, I sighed.
" Oh boy.. ", I chuckled, knowing something was starting to bloom.
