☆ 3rd person POV ☆

Ceto always dreamed having someone to love. However, No one around her seemed to catch her attention. Until a certain Glaceon appeared before her.

Ceto sighed deeply as she padded through the forest. All the pokémon around her tended to stress her out. She needed time away from everyone who overwhelmed her. She was walking towards a small lake that was close to her home. However, most pokémon didn't know about it, which was good for her at least.

She opened up the vines in front of her. But, she spotted someone she wasn't excepting. Her dark purple eyes widened and her light blue cheeks flushed with a red tint.
' He's so beautiful. ', She thought, ' Parhaps I could go over to him. '

She padded closer. She was light on her paws as to not startle him. The pokémon's ears flicked upwards and he looked around. He quickly noticed Ceto and tensed up. He lashed his icy tail, back and forth, in a intimidating way.
" Woah, there buddy! ", Ceto said, lifting her paws up to show she was not a threat. The Glaceon let his muscles relax, however he still had his guard up. He slit his dark blue-green eyes at her. Ceto carefully padded towards him.

" What's your name? ", She asked him, calmly.
" I'm not sure about you, so I will not say. ", He responded coldly.
Ceto gave him a annoyed expression.
' Oh boy, it's another one of these pokémon... ', She thought.
Then, Ceto decided to keep the conversation going since she wanted to know him, even after his first impression. She gave him the benefit of the doubt.
" Well, I'm Ceto. Do you live around here? ", She asked.
" No, I'm quite new here. ", He replied honestly.

After a long conversation, the sun was starting to set, shading the sky with warm and bright colors. The Glaceon blinked and tensed up as he saw the sky. He chuckled nervously and got himself quickly on his paws.
" My apologies, but I have to get going. ", He told her.
Ceto gave him a saddened look, however she gave him a small smile.
" Goodbye Douglas. ", She said, waving at him.
" Bye Ceto. ", He stated, waving back.

Then, he turned and run into the bushes, quickly disappearing into the green brush. Ceto sighed as she watching him leave. She looked around at the lake. She blinked her dark purple eyes as she stared into the water below.
' I better get going too. My family might be wondering where I am, right now. ', She decided.
Then, she picked herself onto her paws and rushed towards her home.

- Timeskip -

It's been many months since Ceto and Douglas first met. Ceto has caught feelings for him. She wanted to confess her love to him today. She eagerly waited for him by the lake. She face lit up as he appeared toward the undergrowth.

Douglas padded up to her with a slight saddened expression but Ceto didn't catch it.
" Douglas, I have something to confess. ", Ceto started.
Douglas blinked and motioned her to continue.
" I love you. It's alright if you don't feel the same, but I really needed to tell you. ", Ceto confessed, turning away from him.
A blush shaded Douglas's pale cheeks with red. He managed a giant smile on his face.
" I'm delighted, since I feel the same way! ", He admitted.
Ceto gasped and her pupils expanded as she met his eyes. A blush rested upon her cheeks as well.

Douglas gave her a peck on the cheek. Ceto giggled and brought him close to her, snuggling him. She whispered sweet nothings to him, showing her affection. But, it was short lived.

Douglas pulled away from her. Ceto gave him a confused look as she felt him leave her embrace. Her eyes widened as she saw sadness in Douglas's eyes.
" What's wrong? ", She asked, worriedly.
Douglas turned away from her. Tears leaked out of his eyes and travelled down his face. He tried to wipe his eyes with his paws.

Ceto got more and more concerned.
' Is he ok? Did I do something wrong? Why is he crying? Why is he upset? Did something hurt him? ', Her mind rambled.
Suddenly, she was brought out of her thoughts by an embrace. Douglas rapped himself around her, pulling her in for a tight hug. His tears quickly stained her chest, but she didn't care. Ceto quickly curled herself around him, returning the embrace. She rubbed his back gently as he cried into her neck.

After a couple of moments, Douglas pulled away again. He looked deeply into Ceto's eyes.
" I'm so so sorry... ", He breathed.
" But what for? ", Ceto questioned.
Douglas put his head down and sighed deeply.
" I wish this wasn't true and I'm forever sorry that I have to do this to you... ", He apologized.
Ceto watched him with confusion and concern in her eyes.
" Again, I'm sorry. But I have to leave you. I actually am not a normal wild pokémon. I'm in fact owned by a human. They live in the city nearby with the rest of their team. However, they are officially moving tomorrow and I have to go with them. So, I have to leave you. I wish I didn't have to, but this is so. I'm sorry. ", He confessed.
Tears built up in Ceto's eyes as she heard this heartbreaking news.
" But you can't leave me! Please stay with me! I love you! ", She begged him.
" I'm deeply sorry, my love, but I must. I have no say in if I want to or not. If my trainer goes, I have to go with them. But if I did have the choice, I would stay with you. But this isn't the reality. ", He told her.
Ceto choked out as tears flowed out her eyes. Douglass looked away from her.
" I'm sorry. I can't stay with you. I can't look at your destroyed face anymore. I hate to see you this way. Just know that I also love you and always will love you. ", He stated, trying to stay strong.
He turned and quickly ran into the bushes in the direction of the city.

Ceto fell to her knees. Her love just ran away from her and was to never be seen again. She has been left behind by the one pokémon that she have loved so deeply.

Also, I apologize from not updating. Motivation is quite nonexistent. Also other books need to be written.
