☆ 3rd Person POV ☆

Lucy smiled as she slipped out her custom-made cosplay of one of her favorite anime characters. She went out to the living room, where her boyfriend, Hudson, was.

" Look! ", She announced in an accomplished manner.
Hudson turned his attention to his girlfriend. Then, a mixed expression appeared on his face.
" But, it's not Halloween. ", He observed, looking up and down at the costume.
" I know. ", Lucy replied.
" So, why are you wearing that costume? ", Hudson asked, confused.
" Well, for the anime convention, of course! ", She exclaimed, excitedly.
" Convention? ", He questioned.

" Yes, there's an anime convention in two days. I need to go. ", She explained, excitedly, bouncing on her pink dipped paws.
" How are you going to get there? I'm assuming it's far away. ", He observed.
" Well, I'm not going by myself. ", She stated, confidently.
" Who are you going with? ", He asked, tilting his head to the side.
" Well, you. Of course! ", She exclaimed, her pink tail wagging happily.

This made Hudson stop in his tracks. He'd never went to a convention, especially an anime convention. He pictured it his mind and froze. Catastrophizing this, he flinched. He was going to that? Immediately, he felt a twinge of nausea flare up in his throat and stomach.

" Oh, no. No. No. I'm not going to that. ", He argued, looking away from her in a frustrated manner.
" Aw, why not? ", She pleaded, with her pink ears down and her light blue eyes wide.
" Well... ", He started, then he hesitated, looking at his enthusiastic, now disappointed girlfriend.

Silence rose between them as Hudson wasn't able to speak up without being rude or disrespectful. He refused to go, however it was difficult saying no to Lucy. She was one of the kindest Pokémon he knew. He didn't want to put her down, but he could never imagine going to the worst-case scenario version of an anime convention.

" You're not thinking of the ones that give them a bad reputation, are you? ", Lucy questioned, almost reading Hudson's mind like a book.
Hudson looked away, down at the floor, sighing deeply, with great hesitation he nodded, feeling a twinge of guilt.
" Honey... ", She murmured.

She padded over to him, giving him a nudge gently with her snout.
" I'm sorry. ", He murmured into her ear, softly.
" No, no, don't be sorry. It's alright. It's normal to have that bias at first. ", She reassured him.
Hudson smiled at her. Then, he placed a kiss upon her soft, white cheek.
" You're so sweet. ", He told her.

After moments of a cuddly, warm embrace, Hudson made a decision that he was originally very hesitant about.
" Alright, fine. I'll go with you. ", He stated, sighing.
" Thank you. I can't assure anything, but I know you'll have a better time than you expect. ", Lucy chirped, snuggling into him, affectionately.
" I trust you. ", Hudson told her, honestly.

After a while, Lucy made Hudson a quick and easy custom-made cosplay for him to wear at the convention. Hudson told her she was pushing it a bit, however Lucy eventually convinced him otherwise. Soon, both were packed up and ready to leave.

" Ready to go? ", Lucy questioned, looking at her boyfriend.
" I hope so. ", Hudson sighed, not knowing what would be in store for him.
