☆ 3rd Person POV ☆

Hilo groaned as he awoke on his bed. His mouth felt puffy and tense. It was surely an uncomfortable feeling for him. However, he did recently get the teeth he didn't need anymore removed. It was the day after the surgery now.

" Ow.. ", He spoke up with a slightly muffled voice.
He put his paw to his cheek and lightly rubbed it, to try to ease the pain. It didn't help as he expected it to however. He felt the back of his mouth with his tongue. It was weird. He felt small pieces of bone residue near the end. It felt like small bits of meat stuck in his teeth. However, he left it alone, not wanting to bother with it much. It's what the dentist told him to do.

" Hey, how are you feeling? ", A voice asked, softly.
Hilo looked towards the voice. It was his tsudere boyfriend, Rin, standing in the doorway with a lightly worried expression on his face. Before Hilo could properly respond, Rin was brought to his dark furred side, diamond end tail draped close to him. Hilo just looked at him with love in his bright yellow eyes.

" Well? ", Rin prompted.
Hilo just groaned in response. Rin sighed and pet Hilo's head gently. Then, the Glaceon planted a small kiss on the Shiny Umbreon's forehead.
" Aw, you love me ~ ", Hilo cooed at him, wagging his dark furred blue-ringed tail.
" Yeah, yeah.. I do... ", Rin admitted, looking away from his recovering boyfriend.

" Ew.. ", Hilo suddenly said, breaking the silence of their embrace.
" What? ", Rin barked, a bit taken back.
" Sorry, I got a taste of blood in my mouth. It doesn't taste very good. ", Hilo stated, sticking his tongue out, a bit disgusted.
Rin sighed as he gave Hilo a disappointed stare.
" Do you need any gauze to bite down on? ", Rin offered.
" No, no, I think I'm fine. ", Hilo dismissed, shaking his head.
" Alright, just say something if you need it. ", Rin shrugged.

Then, a second wave of silence fell over the two. Rin looked down at Hilo. The swollen-checked Shiny Umbreon was just smiling while cuddling with him. It made Rin's heart race. A smile then rested upon his cold lips. He did love this weird goofball after all. Even if he was an idiot a majority of the time. It was just something that Rin had to get used to. Plus, the Glaceon wouldn't change his boyfriend one bit. He loves him just the way he is.

" Are you in any pain? ", Rin questioned, softly.
" No, I'm not. ", Hilo answered, looking back at him.
" Well, you better take some pain medicine for it does. ", Rin stated, getting up.
" Wait, no! Stay with me! ", Hilo whined, loudly.
" Get off of me! I'm going to help you! ", Rin exclaimed, trying to escape his boyfriend's grasp.
" Awww... but it's so lonely over here. I need you to come back. ", Hilo complained, sadly.
" Quit your comments. I'll be right back, you idiot. ", Rin scolded, lashing his diamond-tipped tail back and forth.
Then, the Glaceon left the room quickly.

After a couple of moments, Rin reappeared with multiple things in his paws. One of the things being a glass of chocolate milk. He placed the items on Hilo's desk, which was next to his bedside. Then, he picked up the pill bottles. He read all the information on the bottle before making a decision. Then, he poured the right amount of medication into his paw, double checking he had the amount stated on the bottle. Then, he turned to Hilo with the pills in one paw and the chocolate milk in the other.

" Here, take these. ", Rin ordered, passing him the items.
" Do I have to? ", Hilo whined.
" Yes, if you want to recover quickly, you need to take your medication. That's why we have it. Now, sit up. ", Rin demanded, giving him a glare.
Hilo sighed deeply, but obeyed, sitting up in his bed. Rin nodded approvingly and handed him his meds. Hilo groaned, but didn't complain anymore. Then, Rin handed him his chocolate milk.

" See, you better be good. I got you something nice. ", Rin stated.
" Awww, you care about me! ", Hilo giggled with a smile.
" I do not! ", Rin argued, knowing he was right.
Then, Hilo took the medication and drank his chocolate milk fairly quickly. The empty glass was placed on the desk, out of the way. Hilo then slithered back into his blankets, curling himself up in his cover cocoon.

" Cuddle me, please! ", Hilo stated, happily.
Rin sighed and slipped under the covers. However, a warm feeling wasn't felt on Hilo's cheeks. The Shiny Umbreon opened his eyes to find Rin holding ice packs to see cheeks.
" Babe, they're so cold! ", He pointed out with his ears flattened.
" Do you want me to cuddle you or not? I need to keep these on you to reduce the swelling. ", Rin told him.
Hilo whined, but didn't say anything after.

" You still love me? ~ ", Rin asked.
" Yeah, I guess so ~ ", Hilo confirmed, warming back up to him.

Hey, here take this oneshot!

I thought it would be fitting since I have recently gotten through with the procedure and I thought this would be really cute. Also, personally, It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. So, it's all good. And I know Pokémon probably wouldn't have wisdom teeth, however it's for plot convince and anything can happen in Pokémon fanfiction at this point. So many possibilities!
