☆ 3rd person POV ☆

Penny and Tiffany have been best friends since day one. They've always stayed together like two peas in a pod. They were absolutely inseparable, even if their personalities contradicted each other. Penny was quite calm and quiet. She kept to herself most of the time. However, Tiffany, on the other paw, is the complete opposite. She's outgoing and quite loud. She likes to hang out with her friends almost all the time. Even so, She always makes sure to spend time with Penny. Now, well this all change when Penny realizes she has feelings for her best friend?

Penny flicked her tail as she lightly closed her book with her brown dipped paw. A soft red blush glazed her pale yellow cheeks. Her mind wandered back to her crush, Tiffany once more. It was only recently that the Leafeon discovered her crush on her best friend. But now, her mind can't stay off the Shiny Leafeon.

' I just want to tell her, but I don't wanna ruin our friendship. It's getting harder and harder to not tell her. I just need to, but I can't. ', Penny thought with a deep sigh.
Then, Penny heard a knock at her bedroom door. Her leafy green ears flicked upwards and she twisted her head towards her door. Then, the door slowly opened. Tiffany was standing there with a small, yet very sweet smile upon her lips.

" Hey, Penny. Do you wanna come along with me and some of friends? We're going to the amusement park that finally opened for the summer. ", She offered.
" Yeah, sure. Why not? Just give me a minute. ", Penny accepted, quickly with a nod.
" Alright, I'll be waiting for ya. Don't keep me waiting too long now. ", Tiffany told her with a wink.
Then, The Shiny Leafeon slipped down the hallway and downstairs. Penny held her breath for a moment and then let it go.
' She's so pretty and way too good for me. ', Penny told herself.

- Timeskip -

Dusk was brushed against the sky, sunset orange and yellow blending into night blue and purple. A few stars appeared, twinkling above for the Pokémon below. The amusement park was still packed with Pokémon. The younger Pokémon was starting to tire and go home with their parents. Soon, leaving the nocturnal, the obnoxious, and the teenage Pokémon left in the park, which included Penny, Tiffany, and Tiffany's friends.

Penny's heart pounded quickly in her chest. She stared up at the stars above and then returned her gaze to Tiffany, who was to the side and a bit ahead of the Leafeon.
' It'll be the perfect time to confess, Penny. Remember the movies! ', The Leafeon reminded herself, understanding her circumstances.
Then, her brown eyes layed upon the ferris wheel, shining dimly. Her gaze flicked between it and Tiffany for a moment. She debated quickly if she should ask Tiffy to go on with her. Then, she decided to quickly drop it.
' She'd probably think I'm just boring and unoriginal. Like everyone knows about confessions on the ferris wheel. Like come on, Penny. ', She scolded herself, lowering her ears to her sides.

Then, at that moment, one of Tiffany's friends brought the Shiny Leafeon to the side.
" Hey, come on, Tiff. You like her. You've got the perfect moment to tell her. ", They informed her, pointing at the Ferris wheel and slightly shaking her.
" But I can't do that. It's like so obvious and like what if she doesn't like girls? We've been friends since as long as I can remember and I don't wanna ruin this for me and her! ", She protested.
" Come on, Tiffy! You just gotta go for it. I mean if you don't do it now, then you'll never know the next time you can confess to her. ", Her friend argued.
" But still! ", She worried.
" If you don't do it, I'm gonna call you Sappy Taffy and I'll just tell her myself. ", They threatened with a smirk on their face.
" One, how dare you and two, you wouldn't! ", She looked at them with a surprised expression.
" Oh, trust me. I would. Now, you better confess to her since I can't take it any longer. You've liked her for years. The opportunity is right there in front of you and I'm not gonna let you drop it this time. ", They growled, with tough love.
Tiffany took a deep breath and sighed heavily.
" Fine. I hate you, you know. ", She told them, rolling her dull dark brown eyes.
" I love you too, Tiff. I'm just doing this for your own good. You'll thank me later. Now, GO DO IT! ", They snapped, sticking their tongue out at her and pushing her back to Penny.

Tiffany smiled at Penny, with a bit of awkwardness.
" Hey, uh, Penny? Do you want to go on the Ferris wheel with me? ", The Shiny Leafeon asked.
" Ummm... Sure. What could do wrong? ", Penny agreed, reluctantly.
Then, the two Leafeon got in line and where quickly on the Ferris wheel.

Penny was fiddling with her paws as the cart went upwards, pulling them closer to the top. She made small stuttering noises to herself, trying to make herself confess to Tiffany. Speaking of Tiffany, she quickly noticed the change in Penny's behavior.

" Hey, are you alright? ", Tiffany started.
" Uh, maybe... I need to tell you something. ", Penny replied, quickly.
" Alright, I'm all ears, Penny. ", Tiffany told her, giving her a patient look.
Penny took several deep breaths, attempting to calm her heart down.
" Ok, Tiffy. I like you. Like more than a friend. ", She confessed, quickly hiding her face with her brown dipped paws.
" Wait, you do? ", Tiffany questioned, surprised.
" Yes? ", Penny confirmed, a bit unsure.

Then, a deep sigh of relief came from the Shiny Leafeon.
" Oh, that's great. I was worried I would have to be the one to confess first. ", She told Penny.
" Wait, you feel the same way? ", Penny asked, a bit confused.
" Of course, I do! I have for like years! I never knew you liked girls and I didn't wanna ruin our friendship! ", Tiffany exclaimed.
" I didn't wanna ruin our friendship neither! ", Penny admitted.

Then, the two girls exchanged a hard and quick laugh together.
" Does this mean we're girlfriends now? Like actual girlfriends? ", Penny asked.
" Yes, definitely. ", Tiffany confirmed.
" I'm sorry our confession had to be this way. ", Penny quickly apologized.
" You shouldn't be sorry. I should be sorry for not telling you earlier. Plus, I don't really care if it's unoriginal anymore. You're my new girlfriend and that's all the matters to me right now. ", Tiffany told her.

Ah yes, the infamous Ferris wheel confession. I just had the idea and I just made it work, I guess. This oneshot might be a bit low quality, but I'm just glad I got this oneshot out. Also, it's August, which it's now Fair month (?), so it's at least a bit fitting hehe. But anyway, take this one if you will.
