Okay, so listen...I've been reading a lot of stuff about MHA fans hating Sato. I get it he's not popular or doesn't have a good quirk but here on my page I thought I'd give the poor guy a chance to redeem himself. Enjoy. Plus, I wanted to do something different. I have probably made some sort of story line no matter how big or small with most of the main characters. I kinda wanted to see what it would be like to make a minor character the main character.

Some parts of this story may be triggering for some readers. For those who may be triggered by this story I have put a 🚨🚨🚨 to let you know we are going into some deep territory. Please don't feel pressured to read it either, I want you all to feel safe and I won't take it personally if you don't finish reading it.

Please read at your own discretion.

New video intro on the story.

"Get back here you crazy weirdo!" Someone called after her, racing through the woods. Rya didn't dare look back, she kept running. Her feet hurt and her throat felt like it was on fire, not to mention the anxiety that made her feel as if she were in a horror movie. Scared little noises escaped her breath but she kept sprinting for her life.

"Get her!" One of the bullies shouted as he kept chasing her. She didn't mean to hurt anyone, she didn't know her quirk would come so late in her life. Ten, ten years old and it decided to show up! Rya cursed herself for being such a klutz. What kind of quirk did she have anyways? She'd never seen a quirk like hers. Her parents are going to be so upset...God she hated this!

She ducked under a low tree branch, her bright blue hair dancing in the wind behind her. She didn't know where she was going, she didn't care. She knew that the playground of her school connected to a park, if she could just make it there she could lose them.

"You can't run forever, stupid!" Another one taunted.

"Are those tears, you crybaby?" Another teased.

It was bad enough that she was looked down upon in her class as the quirkless weirdo, now that she has a quirk they saw her as their new play thing. She thought of something, maybe it would work she didn't know. She thought back to how she was feeling when her quirk activated. With one little thought she heard the cracking of falling trees behind her. I don't want to hurt anyone. She thought as the trees came crashing down in front of her pursuers. Rya stopped to look back at what she did, she could finally take a breath. The trees blocked the pathway so they wouldn't hurt her.

She sighed in relief and got out of there as soon as possible.

"This isn't over, Rya!" Her bullies could be heard from a distance. She shook her head and tried to calm her little heart from thumping so hard with sheer terror.

"Rya!" They cried out. "Rya, wake up!"

She shot up from bed, breathing heavily. Shoji popped his head in to see his little sister scared to death. He came to her and sat down next to her on the edge of her bed. "Was it the same nightmare?" He asked.

She nodded and tried to calm her rapid breathing. Shoji rubbed her back comfortingly, "It's okay. It's not real anymore."

"It happens every time I start school." She said quietly.

"I know, sis." He gave her a reassuring hug. "Get dressed. You have a big day ahead of you." He stood and left her so she could change out of her pajamas. Rya would be attending UA today as a first year student. Her brother, Shoji Mezo was a second year already. She did find some comfort knowing she had her brother around. As much as she didn't want to be in the hero course, Shoji finally persuaded her since he could keep a close eye on her. She didn't want to be a hero...no that was a lie. She wanted to be a hero but she didn't think she was good enough.

"Rya, your breakfast is getting cold." Shoji called down the hallway."

"Alright. I'm coming." She jumped out of bed and put on her uniform. She brushed her hair and put on a little makeup. She put her cat eared beanie on her head before she took her suitcase and rolled it into the front room.

Shoji and Ryas parents were hardly ever home, her brother would make sure that when he moved into the dorms the he would visit his sister as much as possible. He didn't like leaving her alone but he visited her everyday until she was accepted into the class with him.

It was rare to have a new student in 1-A so early but Shoji insisted since he was able to recommend her. Everything was finally falling into place. Rya sat down at the table and a plate of eggs and toast was set before her. She looked up at her brother thankfully and he patted her head.

"Why don't you show your friends your face?" She asked.

"I told you. If they saw how my face looked, they wouldn't think of me the same way." He sat down across from her.

"I don't think your face is that bad."

"That's because you grew up with me, silly." Mezo took off his mask, that's what she wanted in the first place. She was the only one he felt comfortable doing that in front of. Rya smiled at the familiar face.

"That's better."

"Eat your food." He told her with a sweet expression. "We have to get to school on time. Do you have everything?" He asked.

"Everything, I checked twice."

"Good."
