"Ladies first." He let her go and she thought a moment. A lie? She was a terrible liar, "I refuse to finish a book I love because I don't want the story to end."
Sato studied her, "That's the truth."
"Correct."
It was Sato's turn, "I have an irrational fear of birds." He told her. Rya shook her head and looked at him, "That's a lie. I can't see you getting scared over a tiny bird."
"Yeah, that's a lie." He shrugged. Rya held his right ear, Sato chuckled as she took her turn.
"I can't stand it when people chew with their mouth open."
"That's true, I can relate to that."
Rya let go of his ear and listened to his next turn, "I love the sound of a crackling fire."
"Truth, me too by the way."
"Yep. Your turn."
"I don't know how to swim." She said. Sato narrowed his eyes at her and couldn't tell if she were lying.
"Lie."
"Yeah that's a lie." Sato stuck his finger in her ear making her squeal and jerk away. "Ah!" She yelped.
"Hold still its only for a second." He laughed. She felt so weird feeling his finger in her ear and let him come up with another.
"I can't sleep without a nightlight."
"Liar, a big strong dude like you can't be afraid of the dark." She called bullshit.
"You're right." He laughed taking his finger out of her ear. It was Rya's turn to make him feel silly. "Give me a smile." Sato smiled at her and she placed a finger on his teeth. He laughed and shook his head, "Okay that's a good one."
"Okay...my favorite animal isn't actually a cat."
"Lie, I know it is" he said.
"Yeah it is." She shrugged. Sato placed a hand on her mouth, making her giggle. She mumbled something and he acted like he couldn't hear her, "What you say, Kitten?" He asked. She just resorted to giggling as he thought of a new statement. "I like it when you stare at me." He confessed. He took his hand from her mouth so she could speak.
"You're telling the truth." She spoke, a little surprised by the confession. "I like it when you play with my hair."
"That's true." He smiled. "The first time I met you, I was surprised that you were even interested in my quirk."
"True."
A whole new game took over as they stared at each other bashfully. "I thought it was sweet that you told our class I could play the Uke." She blushed. "It sounded like you were proud of me or something."
He took her hand in his, "I am proud of you."
"...there are times when your words feel so unreal...somehow I know what you say is true."
"Now there's a confession." He met her eyes. "That one sounded like it was hard to say." Rya nodded and hid her face with her hands.
"No, don't hide that pretty face, come here." He took her in his arms, attacking her face with kisses, reducing her to adorable giggles.
"Sato!" She laughed out. "Quit it!"
"I can't help it, you're just so cute." He looked down at her, a laughing mess and her hair all over her face. He laughed at how silly she looked and brushed her hair from her face.
"That was a fun game." She told him.
"Mhm." He sighed happily from kiss attacking her. "Want to see if that hot tub is empty?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"Okay, get dressed and I'll go check." He told her.
"Alright."
Sato left the room and headed to the pool, he opened the door to see that the hot tub was unoccupied and he hurried back to his room to change. They walked down the hall together, making sure not to make any noises on the way there. It seemed like everyone else was asleep in their rooms, it was so quiet that the silence was deafening.
Sato climbed into the hot water, sinking down into the bubbles, his aching back against the jets. "Come on, Kitten. This is what we deserve after such a strenuous day." He draped his arms along the edges of the tub and laid his head back.
Rya stepped in carefully, sinking slowly into the bubbling water. She sighed a sigh of relief and sat beside Sato, relaxing against his side. "This was the best idea ever." She said.
"It was." He closed his eyes. In the midst of melting into a puddle of relaxation, Sato felt a loving peck upon his lips. His eyes shot open and lifted his head to see Rya going under the water to hide, she was afraid of kissing him too early. He shook his head and brought her back up to the surface, "Rya?" He took her hair from her face to see her illuminating blue eyes.
"I'm sorry, was it too early to kiss you. If it was, I-" she was hushed by his lips colliding with hers, making her feel like she had melted from his kiss.
"Don't ever be sorry for kissing me." He told her. Rya nodded, still feeling like she should be scolded for some reason. "Look at me." He told her. Rya met his bottomless brown eyes. "When you're with me, don't be afraid to do something like that. If it's how you feel, don't restrain it."
"Okay." She averted her eyes from him, he was so close it was a bit intimidating.
"Be brave around me, Rya. I want to see more of that from you. Be the real Rya, don't hide behind your shyness." He told her gently. Rya nodded to him, placing her hands on his strong shoulders and leaning in to kiss him again. He let her come to him, giving her permission as she kissed his lips once more. She lingered a little longer, making him lean in as she pulled away, finishing the sweet act.
