Mezo's phone vibrated and looked at the screen. He let it go to voice mail, not just yet. Rya was still growing, she wasn't ready to see her parents. All of the confidence she now had was staggering. She just stood up to her class bully, used her quirk with a level head and found love? He wasn't about to take all of that away from her.

Aizawa atepped into the classroom and looked at the class, why did they all look guilty? He rolled his eyes and scoffed, he had no time to figure it out.

"Rya and Shoji. You two are wanted in the principal's office."

The bother and sister looked at each other, wondering what Nezu wanted. Was it abou the fight just now? They left the classroom and walked down the hallway. "Do you have any idea what this is about?" She asked.

Mezo was distracted by seeing two familiar faces. Why? Why now? He hated himself for keeping it such a secret but he cared for his sister too much to let her stay sad and feeling unwanted. "Rya, there's something you should know..."

"Rya, Mezo. Come into the office with me, please." The little mouse man stood outside his door. Mezo sighed and entered the office. Rya was shocked to see their parents sitting in front of Nezus desk. She didn't think about them this whole time, now they were here, staring at her indifferently.

"Please sit." The principal pulled up two other chairs. He sat at his desk to look at the four of them. "It seems as if Rya has been enrolled into UA unlawfully. Mr. and Mrs. Shoji have been trying yo contact you about this matter for two days." Nezu stared at Mezo. "The Shoji's were not aware of the unauthorized enrollment and they're here to straighten it out."

Rya looked at her brother and then to her parents, "I wasn't aware of this."

"We know, Rya. You were supposed to go back to the private school." Her father spoke up. "Tell her what you did, Mezo." Their father demanded.

Mezo looked at Rya and then back at their parents, this wasn't going to plan at all. He just needed a little more time, but time had run out quickly.

"I forged their names on the application." His head dropped from seeing Rya's reaction. He didn't want to see the look on her face.

"Can you explain why you did such a thing?" Nezu asked.

"...I wanted better for my sister."

"Excuse me?" Their mother chimed in. "I think we know what's best for your sister." She said, sounding a little insulted. Mezo rolled his eyes, here they go.

"You are never around enough to make good decisions for her!" Mezo shouted. "She's been through hell and back with every school she went to and now she's actually doing much better than she ever has because of my choice!"

"Calm down, Mezo." Her mother gave him a hard look and then turned to Nezu. "I'm sorry for this, Mezo is rather protective of his sister, Rya."

"He doesn't realize what we had to go through to get her to that private school. She's always been the center of bad attention. It's not her fault though, poor thing." Their father commented.

Rya clenched her fists, they always did this. Always treating her like she never understood what was going on around her. She hated her parents for that! All she wanted was to be treated like their daughter.

"She was made fun of a lot in school for how she looks...she's always been a chubby one. We don't know where she gets it."

"Shut up." Mezo told his mother. "You don't have to say that."

"Well, it's true. She was always the bigger one in the family. It was easy for kids to pick on her."

"So, you're saying them making fun of my weight is my fault?!" Rya exclaimed. Her parents looked a bit alarmed that she reacted that way, she was never the one to be in a confrontation.

"Oh, Rya. You blow things out of proportion-"

"What? Are you kidding me? You just said that it was easy for me to be made fun of because of how I looked. What the hell mom?!" She shouted.

Nezu watched on, trying to find a gap in their argument to say something.

"I didn't want to go to that school again. At least Mezo actually did something to help me out. You both were on constant business trips to avoid your mutant children!" She screamed. "I love it here at UA. I've made friends. You will not take that from me."

"We already spent money on your year there. You can stay here. The Private school is waiting for your arrival." Her father told her. "We have already made arrangements for you to leave tonight."

"You take her, You will have to go through me first." Mezo stood in front of his sister, shielding them from her.

"Mezo, stop this. She has to leave." Mother told him.

"I'm afraid not, Mom. I'm taking you both to court for the custody of Rya." He crossed his arms in defiance. "You will not take her away from me again."

"You can't take us to court! You're only sixteen." Father seethed in frustration.

"Actually, they can." Nezu finally found a place to chime in. "What your son is talking about is called Emancipation. It means if the family the children live with is not up to par to their growth and overall mental health, they can take the parents to court so the children can choose their own guardian." He hid a triumphant smile.

"This is nuts!" Mezos mother shook her head. "You really think you can take care of Rya? What with all her problems?"

"I've been doing it all of my life. I've been more of a father to her than a brother." He eyed his father angrily. "Rya stays tonight until I'm able to make the arrangements to make an appointment at the courthouse."
