Sato asked her to her room for the night, their hands tightly wrapped around each other, not wanting to leave one another's presence.
"I'll see you in the morning, Kitten." He winked. Rya almost gasped, trying to capture her breath again. He leaned down to kiss her, their lips locking for a brief moment until he opened his eyes in complete alarm. Rya's lips broke the connection, Sato looking at her in surprise.
Rya was floating in the air.
She hid her face, blushing red from the sudden act. She didn't think she was still capable of this, she only did this when she was purely happy. Sato instinctively took her hand in fear of her going to high, "Whats happening?" He asked a little concerned. Rya could hear his alarm and uncovered her face to reveal a smile, "Nothing is wrong." She giggled.
"I've never seen you do this before, I didn't know you're quirk let you do this." He said, his hand gripping hers.
"I'm happy, Sato." The pink never leaving her cheeks. "This rarely happens." She confessed.
"So...I make you happy?" He asked, pulling her back onto the floor.
"Mhm." She nodded. He smiled brightly at her adorable reaction, it was beautiful to see that she was starting to let go of her restraint and show her true emotions to him. He appreciated the way she expressed it to him, it was unique and lovely.
"You're so cute." He hugged her tightly before letting her vanish into her room for the night. He walked the hallway down to his room, wanting to leap for joy from seeing her so ecstatic.
Rya laid down in her bed, the past that once tortured her almost a distant memory. It took her no time at all to get comfortable and settle into her bed. That was until she received a notification on her phone, she picked it up with her face glowing from the light of the screen.
🚨🚨🚨
"You make me sick." It read. Rya raised an eyebrow, who was texting her this late and why were they saying such a terrible thing. "Fat Cry Baby."
"Manoma, if you're sick you should see the nurse. At least she'll actually kiss you." Rya chuckled as she sent the text.
"No one has EVER kissed you! Lose some pounds and maybe you'll be good enough." He texted back.
"How did you even get my number in the first place?"
"I have my ways, Cry Baby Rye." He replied. Then another number she didn't recognize came up, "go home, crazy!" It read. Another popped up and another.
"Go home Cry Baby!"
"If I see you in the halls, I'm going to smack the fat off of you!"
"Why did you throw Manoma in front of a car, you psycho?!"
Her worst fear had been unleashed from the depths of her mind, Manoma had turned the school against her. How did they know about the incident? Did he tell them that she threw him in front of a moving car? Surely he didn't add that he brought a mob of students to beat her with sticks. The anxiety creeped back into her chest, swirling around before making its home in her again.
"Fatty Rye Rye wishes she could die!" The texts started to overflow on her phone, each one saying the same thing as if they were chanting it. Her phone dinged repeatedly as her anxiety grew stronger and stronger in her chest before it took control of her breathing.
Why now? Why did this have to happen now? She was finally happy and at home with her class! Was there ever going to be a place where she belonged? Objects started to rotate around her like a tornado. The night grew noisier and more rambunctious that everyone came out of their beds to see a what was going on.
Momo came out of her room, seeing the ordeal was coming from Rya's room and fled down to Mezo's dorm p, knocking on the door frantically. He opened it, looking at her face he already knew what was happening. He raced down the halls, Sato caught up to him and reached her room.
They opened the door but a stiff force like a wind slammed the door shut again, "Whats happened? Weren't you with her all day?" Mezo asked.
"I just left her, she seemed happy." Sato explained. The two boys broke down her door and saw her sitting at the edge of the bed, gripping her head and crying hysterically. Momo took one look and ushered everyone into the common area where they would be safe from any damage.
Sato looked at her in horror, just a few minutes ago she was the happiest he had ever seen her. The wind was too strong to get to her, even Mezo tried and nothing seemed to work.
"Sing!" Mezo ordered him and they both started to sing her favorite song.
"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high..." Mezo started to sing.
"Bluebirds fly, and the dreams that you dream of, they really do come true." Sato joined in.
The wind picked up speed and she shook her head upon hearing them trying to calm her down. She didn't want to calm down, she didn't want them here! Everything was a lie! What was so special about her? We're they just taunting her by showing her a fake form of love? Why? What would the two boys whom she cared for and respected so much do this to her? She didn't deserve the love they gave her. Wasn't she mean to be the monster that everyone else called her?
"Where trouble melts like lemon drops, high above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me..." Sato knelt down, finding a weak area in the swirling wind, crawling to her. He took her hand to try to calm her down. She looked down at him with pure anger, why did he make her believe she could be loved? This was all his fault.
