This may be a little triggering for some people, just a warning. Nothing too intense here but it does kind of touch upon E.D.

Sato hid in the hallway, hearing the whole thing. Why was she so self conscious? To him she looked stunning, how could someone so pretty think that they are ugly? He peered over the corner to see Mezo's face in his hands, frustrated from the argument. He came in and set his dishes in the sink to wash them too, not saying a word.

"Don't tell me you were listening to that?" Mezo asked.

"Kind of hard not to hear you, even if I wasn't listening." Sato replied.

"Great, now the whole class will know by morning." He said looking up at his friend. Sato pulled up a stool and sat across from him, "Give me some credit, Shoji. I'm not a gossiper." He leaned his elbows on the table. "Care to talk. You look like you need it."

"...I shouldn't. Rya is my sister." Mezo did want to talk but he was too protective over her to say anything to just anyone.

"Whatever it is, looks like you need some help."

Mezo chuckled, "You don't know my sister. She may need help but it'll be forever before she accepts it."

"What's that?" Sato shrugged. "I mean, I already have an idea of what she's going through but I'd rather hear it from you."

"Listen, if you want to know exactly what's going on, be my guest but you're going to have to face the the little Emo in her room."

"Okay." Sato stood and headed to her room. Mezo let him go, not only because he was a good friend and trusted him but also because he needed to learn some time or another how stubborn Rya really was. Sato knocked on the door and waited for a response. "Rya? I thought we could make a cake together." He told her. There was no response and heard footsteps on the roof. "I see..." he said to himself while walking out the front door.

"What happened, Sato?" Mezo teased.

"I swear to God your sister is part cat." He replied as he walked round the side of the building and climbed up the ladder. There she was, sitting exactly where she was that morning...but in a black cat onesie. Sato laughed, wow...she really was part cat. Rya turned to see him again, "You better stay away. I'm dangerous." She warned.

"Well, that's why I'm here. For a little un-ordinary."

She stared back at him, not knowing what to think of him, "what are you doing up here again? You looked like you were about to piss yourself last time." She told him.

"Ouch. Was it that obvious?" He asked, making her laugh. Hearing that made his night, it was nice to hear something out of her other than snippy comments. "I came up here because I thought I heard a cat stuck on the roof so I came up here to rescue it." Sato smiled at her, did he just flirt? Sounded like a flirt...okay then.

Rya smiled, "well, this cat isn't stuck. Just likes high places."

"Okay. Sounds about right since I found you up here this morning."

"Yeah...Sorry again."

"I'm still alive." He shrugged and nudged her. "What's going on?" He asked.

Rya looked at him for a minute, could she really trust him? "I, Uh...Don't want to talk about it."

"Okay." He simply said. Still sitting down with her. What was he up to? What kind of game was he playing. Rya looked at him confused, was that it? Was he going to give up that easily? "What?"

"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." He shrugged.

"...but that's what you came up here for."

"No, I told you I thought there was a cat on the roof...I was right." He gave her a silly smile. Rya was a little taken with how he was acting, what was he up to?

"What are you playing at?" She asked.

"Nothing, just thought I'd hang out with the coolest cat in UA." He joked.

"Okay that was a terrible joke." She chuckled.

"It made you laugh though." He said, admiring how she looked.

"Because it was stupid." She giggled. Sato laughed with her and then looked up at the black sky.

"Nah, I came up here because you said something to me earlier. You're right, I don't know you."

"And...?"

"What you want me to spell it out for you?" He joked. "I came up here to get to know you, silly." He playfully nudged her. Rya glanced at him for a second.

"Why me?" She asked. "Why come up here to get to know me?" She asked honestly. Sato studied her face, did she have many friends? What made her so closed off like this?

"I'm guessing you don't have a lot of people climbing roofs to talk to you."

"No." She shook her head, her blue locks dancing in the breeze.

"Why you?" He pretended to think. "Well, you're new. Maybe I want to be friends." He watched her as she pondered the remark, thinking about his words and wondering if he was worthy enough to open up to. She sighed and flashed her blue eyes at him, "What would you like to know. I'll let you ask the questions."

"Okay. Easy enough." He thought a moment. "What is your favorite animal?" He joked. Rya rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Right, too obvious."

"Uh Huh."

"Okay, where were you before you came to UA?" He asked. Rya stood up and looked down at him, "come up." She insisted. She pointed out into the distance and he looked in the direction. "You see the train bridge just over there?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"My house is right next to it." She told him.

"Wow. That must have been an interesting wake up call every morning."

"You get used to it." She shrugged. "I used to climb the bridge and look out at Tokyo."
