Rya took his hand and held it tight, "I don't want anyone to hate me anymore." She cried.

"Rya, who here hates you?" He asked.

"Not yet...I always find ways it seems." She breathed hard, trying to calm herself. Sato sat close to her and met her eyes. She had been conditioned to think she was unloved, ugly and always the problem. He wanted to make her see that all of that was a lie, everything she had been told was a lie. All the abuse she had gone through was nothing but people who failed to see that she was indeed breathtaking.

"I don't hate you, Rya. No one here will ever hate you."

"...how do you know?"

"Because you've never given them a reason to. I don't think you ever will. You're too lovely a person." He wiped her tears away and her breathing slowed. "You're not in that private school anymore, Rya. You're in UA. This class will always be a family to you."

Rya listened, her crying and anxiety yielded when she finally took the time to hear him speak. It was still astounding to see someone like him, caring, sweet and handsome. The example of men in her life were distorted except for her brother. Sato was different, he spoke with gentleness, touched her with such care and looked at her like she were a beautiful creature.

"You're staring again." He smiled, getting a grin out of her before she hid her face. "You know the routine, what's going on in that stunning mind of yours?"

"Nothing." She said in a muffled voice.

"Come on. Tell me or I'll whack you with a pillow."

"No..." she peeked up from her hiding spot to see him looking at her mischievously.

"Okay, that's it." He whacked her with a pillow and she rolled over to see him ready to do it again. She giggled, holding her hand up, "No, don't."

"Tell me Rya or you'll get a face full of pillow cotton." He threatened. She burst out laughing at his threat. Sato couldn't help but admire her laughter, he was glad he made her a little happy.

"Okay, okay. Fine." She sat up and he sat next to her on the edge of her bed. "You..." she started. "...You are just...not like other guys."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked.

"It's definitely a good thing." She glanced up at him. "I've never met anyone who is so kind and sweet like you...apart from Sho sho."

"Hahaha. Sho sho." He giggled at the nickname.

"Hey, I gave him that name when I was four." She pinched his ribs.

"Ow!" He laughed out. "Okay, I'm sorry. Continue."

She stared at him before she spoke, "I like you, Sato." Her face turned red. So did his, he wasn't expecting that. He bent down to kiss her forehead, "I like you too, Rya."

"You don't think I'm too broken?" She asked.

"If you are broken, you still look gorgeous to me." His gaze softened, admiring her once again. "Some things need to break in order to be fixed the right way." His hand cupped her face, giving her chills as his thumb caressed her cheek. "There is one condition though."

"Shit..." she snapped out of it and looked at him. "What is it?"

"You can't keep holding things in. You have to tell me what's going on, tell your brother. We both care about you, we need to know."

She had to think about it for a moment, did he even know what he was asking for? They called her crazy for a reason...come to think of it, he already seen that side. She didn't have anything to lose, "Fine."

"What kind of nightmare did you have, Rya?"

"It was more of a flashback, really." She fidgeted nervously, Sato looked down and held her hand. "Manoma was the head bully of both of my schools. He was there tormenting me at my old school and then when I transferred, so did he."

"What?" He looked horrified. "He changed schools just to tease you? That's messed up."

"Yeah...he never really told me why he did that. He just kept telling me that I was a waste of space, that I was only good for being a cry baby. He must have thought it was entertaining to hurt me."

"What did he do, Rya?" He asked.

"Him and his gang used to do all sorts of things to me. They chased me into the woods, taunted me every time I ate my lunch, beat me with rocks and sticks..." she gasped out. He squeezed her hand protectively "They hated me because I never used my quirk after the incident at the private school. They saw me as weak."

"What happened?" He asked.

"....they were taunting me like that always did. Chanting awful things as I had lunch. That day, I just couldn't take it anymore and my quirk activated. Everyone in the lunch room were thrown against the four walls of the room."

"Jesus, Rya. No wonder you're so full of emotion, they tortured you."

"Yeah they did." She wiped her tears away to keep them from falling and sighed.

"Now, tell me the truth. How do you feel after you shared all of this with me?" He asked her.

"Relaxed."

"Good." He brushed her hair back from her face. "I'm proud of you."

"You don't think I'm crazy? You did just see me have a full on panic attack."

"You're not crazy, Rya. That's such a rude word to call any one. I just see someone who has been conditioned to think of herself as less than. And all I want to do is help get rid of her troubles."

"Why?"

"Are we really back to that?" He said making her laugh. "You know why."

"I don't know if I remember." She flirted. "Refresh my memory."

"Because you're beautiful and you deserve the best of everything."
