"How much do we have?" Rya asked her brother as they searched the isle of the store.

"About 2,000."

"What?!" She looked up at her brother. "How?"

"I saved some so you could do exactly this." He said. Rya couldn't help but tear up, he saved money so she could go shopping for her dream room. She hugged him tight, burying her face in his chest. "You're such a good brother."

"I know, Rye." He patted her head.

"Go nuts. I've got it." He smiled.

"Thank you."

He let her shop while he pushed the cart around. Rya was always made fun of, if it wasn't for her quirk it was for the way she looked. Rya might not have been the skinniest and tallest girl around but she wasn't at all overweight. She was built different and so was he, and he didn't want her to suffer the torment like she did when her parents sent her to a boarding school. Mezo thought that was the worst decision they ever made. The bubbly and happy little one he grew up to be best friends with vanished when she returned home. She was quiet and always crying. From that day on he promised that he would protect her, their parents certainly weren't around to. Mezo had his share of getting laughed at too but it was nothing compared to what Rya had endured. It was strange to him really, compared to him Rya looked completely normal.

They finished up their shopping and bought everything she picked out. Mezo heard her stomach growl and looked at her, "what did you have today?" He asked.

"What does it matter?" She asked.

"Because you're hungry." He told her. "Do I have to force feed you food?"

"...of course not." Her face turned red, ashamed that she didn't eat enough. "I had an apple this morning."

"That was six hours ago." He told her with a slight sternness in his voice. "It's time for lunch."

"No." She whined.

"I'm not letting you starve yourself. Come on, we're going back to school. I'll make you something."

"Why..." she whined again. "I'll just get-"

"I don't want to hear it. Let's go." They walked their way back to school and she set her things in her room. "Go ahead and put everything away, I'll make you some lunch."

"Okay." They decided to paint the walls some other time so she decided to put her room together. She unpacked the floor lamp, sticking it in one of the corners of the room along with a couple of giant bean bags. She put on some bright blue sheets on her mattress and then her checkered comforter. She decorated it with some fun throw pillows shaped like cat paws. She hung up a few pieces of clothing she needed to buy and placed her new night stand next to her bed. She turned on her little lamp shaped like a cloud to make the room glow with colorful light. She plopped down on her bed, finally comfortable with what she had done.

"Rya?" She looked up to see Sato in her doorway.

"Hey, what's up?" She asked, sitting up. Sato looked at her for a minute, she looked so innocent and sweet.

"Mezo is finished with your lunch." He told her.

"Ugh...I don't want to eat it." She said to herself.

"What? You don't want to eat?" He asked.

"No, I'm not hungry." Her stomach called bullshit and growled ferociously. Sato was a bit concerned but chuckled anyways to keep the conversation light, "Sounds like you are now."

"I'll be out in a minute." Rya looked at herself in the mirror. She hated her appearance. No matter what she wore, even if it was her favorite outfit she still found something to nitpick. Her thighs were too big, her cheeks too chubby and she didn't want to get started on her butt. Why couldn't se be skinny? Why was she made to look like this and not someone beautiful? She shook her head, she knew those were the voices of her past creeping up to haunt her. She finally joined her brother at the counter and looked down at her plate, he had made her favorite chicken fried rice.

"Thank you Mezo."

"Any time, Rye." He sat with her and ate their meal.

She stared at it before she ate it, regretting even picking up her spoon. Mezo did his best to encourage her to eat but there was only so much he could say and do as her brother. It hurt him that she felt so insecure inside, although he felt the same way sometimes, he wanted better for her. She finished her food and washed her bowl out.

"Thank you, Sho-Sho."

"Of course, Rye." He beckoned her back to him for a minute, she came back to sit down with him. "Look, I'm bad at this stuff but...you don't ever...throw-"

"Eww. God no, Mezzi. To be honest the thought just terrifies me." She told him truthfully. "What makes you ask such a question?"

"Because you refuse to eat sometimes, Rye. It's scaring me."

Rya crossed her arms angrily, she didn't want to hear it. Mezo sighed, she got like this when there was a sensitive topic that she didn't want to address. That told him that there really was a problem. "You know I'm saying this because I love you, right?" He asked.

"...yeah." She sighed. "It's not that big of deal for you to be scared...I'm fine."

Mezo rolled his eyes and felt a little irritated, "Yeah, Ill make sure you're fine." He got up to wash his dishes, done with the conversation.

"Mezo, no." She looked at him with unbelief.

"Rya, Yes. Until I see that you're responsible enough to take care of yourself, yeah, I'm making sure you eat three meals a day." He raised his voice.

"Fuck you." She ran into her room, not looking back. Mezo was completely startled when he heard her speak to him in such a way. It wounded his heart.
