I see right through me.

Once again, my brain had some how convicted me of yet another character flaw. This time I was being fake; last week I was being self centered, the week before I was being loud, and the week before that one I was being lazy. The never endless attacks that I've grown accustomed to were braking me minute by minute, a punishment I've brought on myself I thought.

When I feel these things, they get trapped inside my brain like an old file that never left the library. I don't see myself as anything but the perfect mistake, my old mom was right, I don't have a good side. At least, a true good side, I only show people an exact reflection of themselves because no one can see through a mirror, right? That made me fake. And no body likes a fake.

"T-Taylor..", I sniffled on the other side of the phone, "oh no, y/n what happened? Talk to me.", she asked. "Am I fake?", I whimpered, "of course not. Baby, who told you that?", she asked once more, "myself. Are you sure?", I asked for reassurance, "why would I lie- nevermind. I'm coming over.", she said and hung up. Quickly, I scrambled to clean up the depressive state my apartment was currently in with mess scattered around the place. I didn't want her to see me like this.

Just in time, she quietly opened the door because she had a key I gave her a few months back. She had an expression of worry and concern, but in the sense that she knew how to cheer me up some way. "Y/n?- oh, there you are darling", she said and walked over to me, sitting next to me on the couch.

"What was all that talk on the phone?", she kissed my head and pushed my hair back behind my ear, "N-nothing....it was just a question", I told her, "we both know that isn't true, y/n", she told me, finding the truth without even searching for it. I avoided eye contact as much as I could knowing that if I looked even just for a second into her eyes, tears would burst and sobs would escape.
