((Rin's POV))

We all quickly packed all of our stuff, and changed into our normal clothes. In no time we were racing through the woods, making our way back True Cross. Lower class demons slowly looked at us running, not really wanting to attack us at all. My sword was over my shoulder, and I kept it close as we ran. Truly I didn't know how far True Cross was from the woods until we had been running for a while.

"What if it's already too late?!" Shima yelled as we ran.

"Let's just hope it isn't," Yukio responded.

My eyes scanned the whole area. I didn't look far because basically it was pitch black. The trees were blurred, along with all the other plants as well.

"Ouch!!" Izumo yelped because of her not yet fully healed leg.

Sarah tried to pick her friend up, but it was no use. Bon had to come over to get Izumo, who was fussing about it. We kept up our fast pace. Everyone was tired of course, but with our school in danger there was no way we could stop.

I scanned our new scenery again. Since it was still dark it was probably around 3 A.M or 4. My eyes looked at a spot that was somehow lighter than the rest of the woods because of the moonlight. In that certain spot in the light of the moon, I caught a glimpse of something moving towards us at a top speed. It was about the size of a large dog.

"WATCH OUT!" I yelled.

Before anyone could take in my warning, Yukio was trampled just like that. I couldn't help but think it should have been someone else, but I pushed it aside. Yukio had managed to get the unknown demon type off of him. Quickly more popped out of the trees. Everyone was just trying to get rid of all of them by now, but they just kept on coming. Each one that flew at me I managed to kick it away.

"GET AWAAYYY!!" I screamed. I didn't even have to unleash my a sword to burst into blue flames. Some demons around me backed away. Others just burned from the heat of the flames.

Sarah had managed to kill all of her demons, and now was helping Em. Em was only an Aria, and she couldn't recite passages without someone else protecting her. I managed to kill more, but they just kept on coming.

"If True Cross is worse than this... How are we going to defeat all of the demons in the city?!" I heard Carter yell.

Recently he found out he was a tamer, and had a beautiful white swan lighting up the darkness along with my flames as I fought. The swan was actually really powerful, killing two demons off at a time with its wings.

"We need to run!" Em yelled as she killed off about 5 demons with the passage. More and more just kept coming at Sarah and her though.

"No! We have to stay! They will follow us either way!" Yukio responded back. He was still fighting the creatures hurling themselves at him.

It felt like the mob would never end. We all were getting exhausted very quickly. Sheimi looked the worse because she was using giant plants from Nii to fight them off. Before I was about to say it was over for us, the last of them were quickly killed off.

We all caught our breathe.
I was hunched over, my hands on my knees.

"Sit up straight Rin. It will only make your breathing worse," Vicky said to him, panting.

I decided to take her advice as I sat up. I didn't want my breathing to get even worse. I looked at everyone, beat down and exhausted. Em was the one who looked like she was about to get sick.

"Nope!" Em said as she sounded like she was about to throw up. I closed my eyes when she actually did hurl. I opened them again slightly to see luckily she did behind a tree.

"I know I shouldn't have made my moms special recipe," Bon groaned.

"Em... Are you okay?" Vicky asked slowly.

"No, I'm just fine Vicky. In fact, I feel like I could run even more if I wanted to. Maybe even a marathon! I just decided to make myself throw up because I wanted to run some more!" She groaned as she held her stomach.

"Don't be sarcastic with me Em!" She snapped back.

"I can be sarcastic if I want to be," she then sounded like she was going to throw up again.

Quickly I closed my eyes, looking away as she hurled once more. Luckily it wasn't as much as last time because she got it out of her system.

Vicky had come over to help her. Em looked embarrassed. Her uniform shirt was covered in her barf.

"Poor Em.." Sarah said.

Em sighed. She was about to step away from the tree, but her foot caught on a branch. She basically face planted. Vicky helped her friend up. Basically I was just trying not to laugh my ass off. She looked even more embarrassed as she went over to us.

"No.. More... Running. Hopefully no... Fighting either," she said in short breathes.

"But we have to get there on time. There's no way we can make it if we don't run... Do you need an extra shirt?" Yukio asked.

"No, I'm fine. My proposal is that we split up into two groups, and meet in the city. It's less people to worry about if we get attacked again."

"Em, you do realize that these woods are big. Anyone could get lost in them! I know my way around here actually. Just let me led," He responded.

"Just give me a map, and I'll be ready to go. I'll take the girls on a different route."

Yukio sighed, and handed her the map.

"Are you sure you want to do this? It would be easier to let me just lead the whole group."

"Well.. I'm not one hundred percent sure," she mumbled as she looked at the map.

"Make up your mind Em! We got no time to lose!" Izumo snapped.

"Fine! I'll lead the girls. As I was throwing up, I found this shiny necklace by the tree. It can give me hope to lead," Em said confidently as she put the necklace on. She smiled at the new idem around her neck.

Carter looked worried as he looked at his friends, being led by Em. I looked over at him slightly.

"You can go with them if you want Carter," I whispered over to him.

"No, I want to stay here with the boys. Thing is, I think Vicky should lead the group, or be the leader with help from others."

I raised an eyebrow, confused on what he was saying.

"What do you mean? Em has this under control."

He shock his head no in disapproval.

"Em has flaws Rin. She isn't as perfect as you think. She not optimistic, or a putter downer. She can't make decisions on her own, making her have poor leadership skills."

"Which means?"

"That they will probably get lost, and we will have no idea where they are. I'm hoping that Vicky helps Em while they go through the woods down another path, or someone else who can lead just as well can help her maybe."

When we all started to walk away, Carter made his way by Bon. They started talking to each other about, well, I don't know. All I was thinking is that I hope that they get out alive.
