((Em's POV))

If I was completely honest, Flint was a really nice guy.

I mean, we barely knew each other. Besides from work, I found out he had three younger siblings. Also that his favorite color was blue.

It was progress though. I was always one for making new friends, even if it means being an awkward silent mess at first.

I was on my way to school when I heard someone running behind me. Probably just someone who was just going to run by me.

When I was half tackled with two people screaming in my ears, I wasn't expecting it at all.

"EM!" Sarah laughed.

"Hey!" I smiled at Carter and Sarah who now were by me.

"Where have you been these past few days after school?!" Carter asked frantically. "We weren't complete with you gone! Literally every time we asked you to go somewhere, you always said you were busy."

"Sorry guys. I was working extra hours."

"Extra hours? Oh, your new job? Sarah asked me.

"Yep."

"How's that been going?" Sarah and Carter both said at the same time with raised eyebrows.

I tried to think. How had it been going? I was still kinda training. I worked as a waitress at the place. It wasn't really bad since I could eat for free. That place is kind of expensive after all.

"Good, I guess," I gave them a small smile.

"Good? That's all we get?" Carter snorted. "Come on! Juicy details please!"

"I don't think a job has juicy details Carter," Sarah told him. "But it would be nice to know more."

Juicy details. They really wanted details? At first I was shocked by the fact, but then I remembered that they were Sarah and Carter.

"Well I have been getting closer to Flint. He's a nice guy," I managed to say as we arrived at school.

When my eyes looked at them again, I wasn't greeted with the smiles and laughs. They were exchanging looks with each other all while frowning.

"What's wrong with you two?" I frowned as I gave out a nervous laugh.

They both paused, and looked like they wanted to not tell me something. Eventually Sarah managed to say,

"Em, we're worried."

"Why? It's not like Flint is a bad person!" I defended my new friend.

"No, it's not that," Sarah added. "You're kinda talking about him a lot..."

Now I was really confused. Talking about him a lot? That really didn't seem to add up. I haven't really talked about him in a bit with them since I was working after school.

"Oh, really?" I backed away slightly like a scolded puppy. "I didn't realize."

"Remember we're always here. Us and the rest of the gang," Carter simply said.

The two told me they had to go, and I understood. I waved to them goodbye as I stood there awkwardly.

Talked about him to much.. The boy with the blonde hair and charming brown eyes. With the smile with his dimples showing.

I honestly had no idea what they were talking about as I made my way to class.
