((Rin's POV))

The next day, everything changed. Em sat right next to me and Shiemi. She said she would move back and forth, but that's cool with me. As long as she was talking to me. Today I was even early! 7:50, that's a record for me!
As we sat there talking, I found out that Em loves candy and lives in a shrine. I also found out that she loves to write, read manga, and watch anime. Looks like we have a lot in common!
"Hey, what time is it Em?"
"8:10... Yukio is never late..."
Shiemi frowned. I always hated it when she did.
"Yuki... Wait, Rin... Did he have a mission yesterday?!"
My eyes widened.
"Yeah... He never came home last night. I woke up, and he still wasn't there. I had assumed he came here early...!"
Em put her hands over her mouth.
"Do you think he's-"
She was cut off when someone walked in the room. It was Shura.
"Hey everyone! Nice to see you all again. You all know me, so I don't need no introduction. I'm watching over your class today."
I stood up quickly, making her not even flinch.
"WHERES YUKIO?!"
Her eyes didn't meet mine as she sat down on the desk.
"Four eyes? He was wounded badly yesterday."
The whole room was silent. We had guessed right.
"Where is he?!?!??"
"In the infirmary. Why do you-"
I had to get to him, so I quickly ran out of the room. This couldn't be real, none of it could. Yukio is strong. He would never get hurt by a demon of any kind.
"Rin!!"
Suddenly I saw familiar faces running next to me.
"Em! Shiemi? What are you doing following me?"
Em was breathing heavily already as she was running beside me.
"We had to come! We were worried about you."
Shiemi struggled to keep up, so Em had to help her a bit. I slowed down a bit, and smiled a bit.
"Thanks guys."
My girlfriend smiled at me.
"Anything for you Rin."
Those words just might make my day even better.

When we got there, I was hesitant on going in. I really haven't seen my brother hurt before. Only when bully's picked on him when he was a kid, but never physically. Shiemi though, ran inside.
"YUKI!!!!"
Em followed after her so I guess I has to follow. When we got inside, Yukio looked awful. He looked weak, which was a state I had truly never seen him in.
"Hey everyone..."
Shiemi was on her knees, right besides my brothers bed.
"Are you okay?"
"Well... If you call a full wound across the chest okay, then yes Shiemi."
I pulled up a chair besides his bedside.
"Yukio..."
"Hey Rin."
My hands were shaking in my lap. The last person in my family... I wasn't going to lose him too!!
"You'll be okay..." I managed to say.
Em was standing in the corner a bit awkwardly. She hardly knew my brother, so she must have had no idea what to say.
Yukio was sweating a bit, but Shiemi quickly wiped it off with the rag on his head.
"You all are supposed to be in class," he said with a dry voice.
"There's no way I would leave my brother alone wounded."
Shiemi replaced the rag on his head with a cool new one.
He only sighed, but smiled at her replacing it.
"Thank you..."
"Your welcome Yuki."
"Rin... You can't afford to miss school. I want you to head straight back. Your grades aren't looking so good as they are."
Before I could protest he gave me a weak smile.
"I'll be fine.... Go. I have Shiemi here."
"I'll go back with you Rin. I really can't afford to miss anything because I hate make up work."
The thought of not wanting to leave left. He wanted me to go back. Plus Shiemi was good at taking care of the sick.
"Alright... Fine, I'll listen to you this once. Just this once!"
He carefully closed his eyes.
"Thank you Rin...."
"Come on, we better head back," Em said silently before walking out the door. I silently followed her. Before I closed the door, Shiemi gave me a smile. It disappeared when it was covered by the door.
