((Em's POV))
All the girls traveled through the dark woods, with me being the leader. I could hardly see the map in this horrible light. How was I suppose to know which way I was going?! And how was I going to lead when I can't see the map?!
"Em, are you sure we're going the right way? I think I've seen this tree before," Sarah said.
"I'm positive we are heading in the right direction. There are millions of trees that look the same Sarah."
I turned the map around to make sure I wasn't holding it upside now. No, I wasn't. That was a good sign.
"Face it Em, we're lost!" Izumo snapped.
"We aren't lost! I can get us in the right direction again! Besides, with this necklace I can get more confidence," I smiled as I held the chain around my neck.
"Em, that thing hasn't been helping you so far, so why would it help you now?" Sarah yelled.
"I don't know okay! I just have this feeling that it can lead me to victory!"
Not another word was said as we made our way through the woods. Minute by minute, they all were getting more angry at me. It started to light up outside, meaning we were probably walking for hours.
"Em!! THAT'S THE SAME TREE!!!" Izumo screamed.
I flinched slightly at her yelling at me. Literally she screamed in my ear since she was right next to me. She snatched the map out of my hands.
"This isn't even the right way! We're walking northwest when we should be walking northeast!
"I'm sorry, I can't see in the dark!"
"That's a bunch of bullshit Em! It's been light for a while now!"
I could see Shiemi looked at us bickering back and forth. Quietly she interrupted as she said,
"Um.... Can we not say bad words?"
"Yeah, I was about to say to stop arguing," Vicky pitched in.
Izumo started to walk ahead with the map, walking the right direction. I only sighed as everyone started to follow her. Vicky put her hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay Em... Not everyone has good leadership skills..."
She walked ahead of me with all the others. I still stood, just a bit shocked. Me... A bad leader? Was I really that bad? I walked behind them, ashamed for wasting their time.

We made it out of the woods with Sarah and Izumo's help. I just was in the back with Shiemi, who was comforting me saying that things were going to be okay. It didn't really matter to me anymore. Who cares if I was a bad leader... There are always other people to lead, and there are people to just follow.
"What took you guys so long?" Yukio asked when we met up with him.
"Oh, we got lost.. Not a big surprise," Izumo muttered the last part. Of course I could still hear her clear as day.
"I knew we shouldn't have split up," Yukio sighed.
My eyes slowly met Carter's. He was giving me a sad look. Almost sympathetic. No, I wasn't going to let this get to me. I'm way stronger than this.
"We should get going. We don't have much time left. The city is under attack remember?" I bitterly said as I walked ahead. I was stopped by a hand being placed on my shoulder.
It was Bon.
"Em, listen to me. What made you think you could lead all those girls in the woods by yourself? You don't know this place."
I shoved his hand off of my shoulder, and didn't meet his eyes.
"I thought the necklace would help me... After all it is pretty." I held it in my hands one more time, smiling. It was so gorgeous.
"And no one else can touch it! It's mine you hear?!" I yelled at everyone. Before I could put it back down, it was ripped off of my neck. Bon had ripped it off, and started to run with it.
"GIVE IT BACK!" I screamed and chased after him.
"EM!" I heard Rin yell, but I couldn't turn back now. Bon had my prized possession.
He stopped running when he got to the edge of the cliff. My eyes widened as he did the unforgivable.
He threw it as far out as he could over the edge.
"NOO!!!!" I wanted to just jump right off. That thing was too gorgeous to be just thrown off a cliff. That showed so much disrespect to the beauty.
I almost succeeded in jumping, but I was pulled back by someone. I glanced back to find Rin was now by my side, and everyone else stood in the distance.
"LET GO!" I yelled, kicking him in the shins.
"No! Em, let the necklace go! You just found it this morning in the dirt!"
"Because someone showed disrespect towards it! I on the other hand would treat it kindly, polish it every morning. The jewels were like no other!"
He pulled me away from the ledge, and back where everyone else was. Bon had followed."I hate you both!" I hissed at them.
"I'm glad you did that Bon. That necklace was possessed by a demon of some kind, though I'm not sure what it was."
"Shut up smart guy! I hate you too! Telling the necklace it was possessed! What an awful thing to say!" I spat in his face.
I got one last look at my friends faces, but Sarah wasn't there. All I saw was her behind me as she hit me in the head, and everything went black.

I woke up being carried on Rin's back. Everything was black. Was it night? Was I passed out for that long? What even happened?
"What happened?" I still sounded tired.
"We finally arrived at True Cross," Rin panted slightly as a answered me. "This is it... And just to tell you. It's in the middle of the afternoon."
My eyes widened as I looked at the sky. It wasn't darkness...
It was lower class demons flying in the sky.
"Rin, put me down. I can run," I ordered.
"No can do. If we were walking I would, but I don't want to risk it."
I sighed. He wasn't going to let me no matter what.
"Aren't I heavy?"
"You were at first, but now you aren't. I've been carrying you this whole time."
I almost wanted to cry as I saw all the demons. How were we, just simple exorcists, going to stop this?
And how were we going to save the world?
"Rin... I have a bad feeling about this.."
"Yeah? So do I. Doesn't everyone?"
Suddenly our group stopped dead in its tracks, and I got off of Rin's back slowly.
Up ahead, only about 20 feet away, was someone we all didn't want to see.
"Sup Exorcists! I'm so glad I get to see you again! Thanks for tying me up to that tree by the way. Now let's rock!!"
Short chapter, I know, but I just... I'm kind of working on my other story right now. Sorry guys. I'll try and work on this one too
