((Rin's POV))

After the battle, we all got to eat early since it was around that time. This time though, we ate inside. When I was opening the lid to my lunch, Shiemi sat down next to me.
"Hey Rin."
My eyes fell on her, and I had to force back a frown. No, she couldn't know.
"Hey Shiemi." I forced a fake smile.
On top of that I gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey guys."
"Hey Em!" Shiemi said happily.
"Hey guys."
Em took a seat right across from the two of us.
"Where's Vicky?" She asked.
"Oh, she was invited to eat with a special guy."
She tilted her head in the direction for us to look. Shiemi giggled when she saw Vicky and Shima sitting together.
"You are okay with that?" I asked.
"Yeah, Shima's a nice guy."
"Are they dating yet?" my girlfriend asked.
"They are just friends.. For now," Em giggled at the thought of them dating. Before I know it, I was finished with my lunch quicker. Time flys when you are having fun they say.
"Hey Rin, did you hear a dance is coming up."
"A dance? No, I haven't."
"It's a girls choice dance. It's where the girls ask the guys instead of the guys asking the girls."
I nodded. Sounded good to me.
Suddenly Shiemi stood up.
"I'm going to go check on Yuki."
When she walked away, I couldn't help a small frown. Em seemed confused.
"What's wrong?"
"Em... Can I trust you with something?"
"Rin, you can trust me with anything."
"Shiemi.... I saw her and Yukio by the fountain yesterday. I saw her... I saw her kiss Yukio's cheek. Should
I be you know... Worried?"
She patted my arm.
"I'm sure it's just a friendly gesture. You shouldn't be worried about that."

After lunch I still wanted to talk more to Em. So now we were walking down the colorful hallway.
"So who are you asking to the dance?" I asked, wondering.
All she did was laugh.
"Nobody."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't like anyone."
"Maybe you could take the weird puppet guy."
She laughed even more.
"Your going with Shiemi right?"
I sighed and nodded.
"Yeah. Hopefully nothing happens between now and then."
She patted my back, but it was more like a hit.
"Ouch!"
"Sorry. Hey, she loves you Rin. There's no need to worry, like I told you earlier."
I nodded again, but didn't know if I thought so or not.
"I think you shouldn't go to the dance alone. Try asking someone."
"Are you kidding?! I can't ask a guy out for the life of me! I never have."
We were silent for a bit before I asked her another question.
"At your old school..... Did you like anyone?"
She stopped walking. Oh no, I brought up her past.
"S-Sorry. Never mind."
"No... It's okay. Yes I did. He didn't like me back though.... That's how it always is. Hey we are going to be late."
She started to walk ahead of me.
I just stood there, watching her. I don't think she was sad this time.... She was afraid.
