Chapter 17

Chapter 17: "She was special: A perfect combination of a mean angel and kind devil."

"My gosh! Please tell him to wait for me." 

I hurriedly got up from my bed, and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face quickly. One of our helpers woke me up to tell me that Chester is outside. Luckily, my skin is glossy so I don't need to put anything on my face. It's in the genes, I guess. I just brushed my hair and put it in a ponytail. 

I didn't have time to change so I hurriedly went out in my pjs. I just slowed down when I reached the gate and composed myself. No matter how thrilled I am to see him, I still shouldn't be too obvious about it.

My mouth formed into a big smile upon seeing him. He was leaning against his pick up, wearing his basketball shorts, white Nike shirt, and a pair of Air Jordan. Half of his hair was tied up.

"Hey, you." 

As soon as I reached him he pulled me into his arms and gave me a warm hug. "Good morning."

Feeling giddy to see and have him this close, I wrapped my arms around his waist. Sa taas kong 5'5 ay hanggang balikat lang niya ang inabot ko. I buried my face in his chest and inhaled in his intoxicating scent. He just smells so good.

Tumingala ako sa kanya. "What are you doing here? You have a game today, diba?"

He looked at me then leaned down and gave me a peck on my forehead. I swear a simple kiss on the forehead or cheek makes me so 'kilig'. How much more if he finally kisses me on the lips? Have I somehow become a pervert? I can't stop thinking about wanting to kiss him whenever I look at his lips.

"I just dropped by to see you.. And I brought breakfast for you."

He opened the door in the backseat and made me get in. Sumakay din siya at tumabi sa akin. Iniabot niya ang dala niyang pagkain para sa akin at hot chocolate.

"What's this?" I opened the box. "Oh. Blueberry muffins!" I said, glancing at him.

He smiled. "You mentioned about craving for some blueberry muffins last night."

"Aww.. Thank you, Bubbs!" I said, blushing.

Since our relationship is pretty much new. I still feel a bit shy whenever I call him 'Bubb' or 'Bubbs'. As for him, he found it 'baduy'. He doesn't like endearments but I insisted that I want us to have one. So far, he hasn't used any to me yet. We had breakfast together on the backseat of his car. 

"Don't you really want to come with me? Andy will be there."

I pursed my lips and shook my head. Umayos ako ng upo paharap sa gilid niya at yumakap sa kanya. Ipinalibot niya ang braso sa beywang ko.

"I have things to do later. Besides, it's past 9 na. I haven't even taken a shower yet."

"Uhum.. And it takes you forever to prepare," he added drily.

Nakalabing tumingala ako sa kanya. "Are you complaining, Bubbs?"

The corner of his lips moved up. "I can wait forever for you."

My lips parted, red in the face. In the end I just buried my face in his neck. "Ang corny mo na. Where is the resident bad boy of Imperial University?"

He just chuckled. We just cuddled for a few more minutes in the backseat of his car before he left. He just called me later that day to tell me that they had won. 

"Please tell me again why we're going to the party without you telling Chester. Jusko! Nababaliw ka na ba? Parang nakikinita ko na ang magiging reaction niya!"
