Chapter 26

Chapter 26: "I think what she's always wanted was for someone to be afraid of losing her. She just wanted someone willing to fight to keep her."

"I want milk tea! Can't we just skip this class?"

I groaned and rested my chin on my palm. This is the problem with me when I have my period; It's either I'm grumpy or craving for some food or drinks. And since this morning, I've been craving for some milk tea. But I had an early class and was almost late so I wasn't able to buy one. 

Andy sat on the ledge. "Pwede. Ano, tara? Make up your mind. Parating na si Ms. David niyan."

"But we have an exam today, don't we?"

She pursed her lips and nodded. I breathed out harshly and turned to rest my elbows on the ledge and looked outside the building. If only Ms. David wouldn't give us an exam today.. I sighed again and rested my chin on my palm.

"Nako. Problem solved, Claire."

I raised my brows but before I could voice out my question, a familiar intoxicating scent invaded my nostrils as he put down two cups of milk tea right next to my arm on the ledge. My lips parted and turned to see him. He was standing right behind me. He was wearing jersey shorts and Nike jacket.

My eyes went up to meet his brown eyes, but ended up looking away as his stare was too intense for me. "What are these for?"

"JL said you were craving for some milk tea. So I bought one for you and Andy."

Half an hour ago, I posted about that on my IG story. I cleared my throat to refrain the urge to smile. 

"Thanks. But I don't feel like drinking milk tea anymore." 

Marahas na bumaling sa akin si Andy. "Diba sabi-"

"That I don't want to drink milk tea anymore," I said, cutting her off and giving her a silent message through my eyes. 

She pursed her lips. "Ah.. okay. Sabi mo eh."

I faced Chester. "Take these. Masasayang lang dito."

I saw a flash of disappointment in his eyes, but he was able to mask it fast. "It's fine. In case, you change your mind."

"No. Just take them. Give them to your friends or something," I said nonchalantly.

"Uy, bakit ipamimigay sa iba! Bet ko kaya ito!" Mabilis na kinuha ni Andy ang dalawang cup ng milk tea. "Thanks, Chester!"

He gave her a small smile and a curt nod. "I'll just see you later."

I didn't say anything and just pretended to focus on my phone. I heard him sigh. From my peripheral vision I saw him walking away. I only turned to watch him when I knew it was safe to do so. 

"Ang pakipot ha! Kung kelan wala saka ka titingin!" I just breathed out and reached for my milk tea. "O, akala ko ba hindi mo na feel mag-milk tea?"

I just pursed my lips and took a sip from my drink. "Hmmm.. this taste heavenly," I uttered.

My eyes went to Andy when her phone rang. She answered it right away upon seeing that it was JL. "O? Kakaalis lang. Bakit? Hmm.. O? Hala! Dinalhan niya kami ng milk tea!"

My forehead creased. "What is it?" I mouthed.

She raised her hand. "Okay. Pabalik na siguro iyon. Oo nga. Bye! See you later!" 

"So?" I asked as soon as she finished her call. I had a feeling the phone call was about Chester that's why I was eager to know.

She smirked. "Nako, Claire! Pakitali yung hair mo!"
