Chapter 31: "A million little reasons I'm falling for your eyes. I just want to be where you are." Christmas tree by V

I'm fifteen for a moment
Caught in between ten and twenty
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

I'm twenty two for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars

A lump formed in my throat as I once again got the chance to watch Chester and our friends perform on the stage. When Kuya Clint and Clyde left for the States, these guys stopped performing. Said, it wouldn't be the same anymore without them.

And then the others graduated and got busy building their respective careers. They've totally lost time for music, and even for fun..

But today, they came on Chester and JL's graduation and cheered as the two were called on the stage. Both of them graduated with flying colors: Chester was summa cum laude. While JL was magna cum laude.

Fifteen there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose

Fifteen, there's never a wish better than this

When you only got hundred years to live

I got teary eyed as I watched my man having the time of his life singing with his friends and celebrating his graduation after the awkward dinner we had with his Abuelita and dad.

The dinner was going smoothly in the beginning but it soon turned ugly and awkward when his dad started talking about his plans for Chester. Such as the latter training at the Samaniego Corp right after taking the board exam.

Chester refused as his heart has always been in Engineering. Ergo, Tito Rodrigo got furious with his decision and insisted that Chester should listen to him. As Chester was stubborn, he downright refused.

I felt bad for Chester. I know that I shouldn't judge Tito Rodrigo, but I just couldn't help but be disappointed at how he ruined Chester's important day. To think that he didn't even make it to his son's graduation. Thank God Abuelita was there to stop them from further arguing.

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man but you see
I'm a They
Kid on the way, babe
A family on my mind...

"I can't believe all of them have graduated," Andy uttered, looking at our friends.

I sighed. "I know."

"They're crazy but I'm gonna miss seeing and hanging out with them in school."

My brows rose in amusement as I noticed her eyes were wet. "Are you actually naiiyak, Andy?"

She clacked her tongue and wiped her eyes. "Nakakabwisit ang mga kalakohan nila pero mamimiss ko silang mga gago sila!"

I laughed and pulled her for a hug. "Aww.. I feel the same way." I took a deep breath, trying to hold back my tears.

I feel proud of my friends for they aren't just a bunch of good-looking men, they're also smart. They were so playful during their college days that no one would think they were good students; But they were. All of them took their studies seriously and graduated with flying colors.

Half the time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...

I looked around and felt even more proud as I saw how much in awe the crowd was of them. Matter of fact, the moment they went on stage, the crowd went wild. I knew they missed these guys, too.
