Chapter 18: "You calm my mind and set my heart on fire. You're that beautiful combination."

"You were calling me pala," I mumbled upon seeing his missed calls.

He just gave me a sideways glance then rolled his eyes, but remained quiet while driving. Matter fact, he has been silent since he picked me up from the party. His aura screams danger, but why do I find him hotter? I guess, I'm really, truly crazy for him.

As he brushed his fingers through his hair, his diamond stud earring glimmered from the dark. Ironically, I used to think that men who wear earrings weren't so manly. However, Chester made me see it differently; How could I not when he looks so damn hot with his diamond stud earring and industrial helix piercing?

When his Bugatti Chiron stopped in front of our house, I decided to make the first move since there was no indication that he would talk to me. I moved closer and boldly touched his piercing which fascinates me.

"Tsk." He moved his head away and glared at me.

I pouted. "What are you mad about ba?"

His mouth twitched in sarcasm and raised his brow at me. "No shit." He rested his elbow on the window and touched his lip.

I looked at him innocently. "What did I do nga? I just went to my blockmate's birthday party. What's the problem with that? You go to parties din naman. And you never heard me making an issue out of that."

He scoffed. "I have no issue about you attending some birthday party. But you could've at least informed me or answered my damn calls. I went to your house looking for you, but obviously, you were out partying. I even had to ask your cousins about your whereabouts, but neither of them knew where you were."

I just have to play this right so I could get what I want.

"Anong silbi ng phone mo? Kahit isang message lang hindi ka mapag-send? Ano iyon?" Anger was clearly radiating from him.

I just listened and let him vent out. And when he was done, I breathed out and said, "I didn't inform you about the party because I thought there was no need to do so."

He looked at me with his brows snapped together. "What?" He scoffed. "Nakakagago naman yon," he muttered and shook his head.

I held my chin up, and tried to keep my composure, even if deep inside I was so intimidated with him. He wasn't yelling, but somehow, he seemed even more daunting.

"When you had a boy's night out at your coach's house, you only informed me about it on the day itself. Kung hindi ko pa siguro sinabi na hihintayin kita, you wouldn't probably bother telling me about it, diba? Did I take that against you? No. Not even when you barely responded to my messages that night. You didn't hear anything from me."

"Tapos there was this basketball match of yours. Everyone knew about it except for me, your girlfriend. Again, did I take that against you? May narinig ka ba sa akin? Wala."

He nodded his head then turned to me. "That's why you went to the party without telling me? To get back at me!" His jaw clenched.

"No! Of course not!" I said vehemently. "I didn't tell you because I thought I didn't have to. Ayoko naman na mairita ka kung lahat na lang sinasabi ko sa'yo."

He glared at me. "Hindi mo naisip na baka mas mairita ako kung hindi ko alam kung nasaan ang girlfriend ko?" He breathed out harshly.

A line appeared between my brows, anger was starting to pour through me. "Exactly. Bakit hindi mo rin naisip na baka gusto ko rin malaman yung whereabouts or plans mo! Bakit hindi mo naisip na ayokong maging spectator mo lang!"
