Chapter 27

Chapter 27: "Because when everything else felt wrong, he always felt right."

I woke up with a heavy head this morning; Thus, I decided to skip my first three classes in the morning. This is Chester's fault, I thought as I got out of our car. The talk we had last night caused me to stay up late. Kung hindi ko lang napigilan ang sarili ko ay baka bumigay na ako sa kanya. What he said plus those damn beautiful pair of brown eyes.. I sighed and shook my head. 

Kapit lang, Claire. 

"God. I need coffee," I uttered and went to Haven to grab a cup of my favorite drink. But I was taken by surprise when my friends suddenly made noises as soon as I entered the café. "What the heck?"

"Lodi!" Xander slung his arm around my shoulders. "Sabi ko na eh! You're the one, lodi! Claire lang sakalam!"

My forehead creased in confusion. "What the heck are you saying? What is happening, people?"

"Haven't you checked your socmed yet?" JL asked. 

I shook my head, still puzzled. "Why? Is there something I should see?"

The door opened and Andy strode inside. "Claire! Totoo ba!"

"What? Anong totoo?"

"I think this will answer your question," said Seth as he stood up and showed me his phone. 

I looked at what he was showing me with curiosity. My eyes widened as soon as I saw a picture of Chester buying a pack of pads yesterday. The caption says, 'Kung hindi rin lang ganito, 'wag na lang'. My mouth parted by the number of likes, shares and comments of the said photo. It has freakin' gone viral!

"Crap!"

I read some of the comments and most of them were complimenting Chester and found him hot. They even called him boyfriend material. Instead of finding it hilarious: They found it sweet. And it made me feel relieved. Initially, I felt worried upon seeing the viral photo because I thought people would make fun of him. But it was actually the opposite.

Natigilan ako ng may nakita. I gasped and turned harshly to Xander. "You freakin' shared it!"

He laughed and nodded. "It's too awesome not to share, don't you think?"

I sighed and held my forehead. I don't know whether I should smack him or what. Xander has a lot of followers, and since he shared it, more people have seen it. And what's worse, he even tagged Chester! 

Now, everyone knows Chester's name and stuff about him. He has become the talk of the town, and I know for a fact that he won't like it. 

"You shared it? Tapang mo ah!" nakangising sabi ni Kyle. "What's the caption?"

Xander smirked. "How to be you po?"

I sighed and shook my head as they burst out laughing. Napatingin ako sa entrance ng pumasok si Yu at kuya Clint. 

"Hey, guys! Have you seen the post about Chester?" Kyle asked.

"Oh yeah," Yu answered then turned to Xander. "A friendly advice, steer clear of Chester for the next two or three days."

That wiped away Xander's smirk. "Fuck."

Yu smiled and tapped his shoulder. "And you might wanna leave now while you've got time. He's on his way here as we speak."

His eyes widened. "Gago! Bakit hindi mo agad sinabi!"

Napabuga na lang ako ng hangin ng mabilis siyang lumabas. A few minutes later, the door burst open, and Chester with a knotted forehead, set food inside the café.
