Chapter 29: "So, I'll tell you.. A million tiny things that you have never known; It all gets tangled up inside." Christmas Tree by V

I know I'm at fault, too. And I also know that he was hurt. However, I can't just act like everything is okay when it's not. There are still a lot of things that confused me. But they are the same issues that I can't seem to find the courage to voice out.

"Here I come!" Xander exclaimed and jumped into the lake with a big pool float.

Andy and I were both splattered with water in the process since we were sitting on the dock with our feet in the water.

"Hayerp!" Andy shrieked.

Xander just laughed. "Ang sarap ng tubig! Join us!"

I breathed out and looked back at the house. Where could he be? I haven't seen him since I woke up. I heard footsteps, and I quickly turned around just to be disappointed when it wasn't him.

Yu smiled at me. I gave him a small smile. He sat beside me and dipped his feet into the water. "He has gone to the market." Tumaas ang mga kilay ko. He tilted his head on the side with the corner of his mouth moved up. "Kasama niya si Kyle. By this time, they're probably on their way back. So, don't miss him too much."

I just pursed my lips, but didn't bother denying. "I d-- aahh!"

I just found myself soaking wet, and coughing as water went into my nose when someone suddenly pulled my feet into the water. "Xander, you idiot!"

Not a minute longer, Andy was thrown into the water, as well. Pinaulanan niya ng mura ang mga lalake. I swam back to the dock and held on it. I was about to push myself up when I saw a pair of feet with clean toe nails in front of me. Slowly, I looked up: I was met with my favorite pair of brown eyes.

I swallowed as he extended his hand to me; Offering to help me get out of the lake. My eyes went back to his face; He was poker-faced. I bit my lower lip and accepted his help. As soon as he got me out of the water, he wrapped the white towel around me.

"Thanks," I mumbled.

He just nodded and turned his back. I sighed as I watched him walk back to the house. After taking a shower and dressing up, I decided to stay in my room. I think it's better to avoid him while I still don't know what to do with our situation.

It was Selene who knocked at my door to tell me that it was for lunch. I sat in between the latter and Andy. As for Chester, who was sitting across me, but didn't even spare me a glance.

"Wow! Chop suey!" JL exclaimed.

"The shrimps are well cooked. Look tasty!" Yu said.

Selene turned to me with a big smile on her face. "I'm sure you'll enjoy our lunch, Claire. Diba, you just told us last night that you were craving for chop suey and shrimps?"

"Oo nga 'no?" ani Andy. "Sabi mo pa nga gusto mo pa yung well cooked na shrimps. Yung medyo brownish."

I smiled. "Right. Wish granted."

"Isang 'thank you' naman kay genie slash chef Chester," nakangising hirit ni Xander.

Kyle smirked and smirked, "Kaya pala ang agang nanggising at nagyaya sa market."

I turned to look at Chester, lips parted. His forehead was creased, but he didn't say anything. Did he really cook these for me?

Later that night, we played truth or dare outside. It started out fun especially, the guys were all game and did every dare they were asked to. I couldn't stop laughing when Xander was dared to twerk in front of the old care taker.
