Being informed what you already know

"Mikasa, graduation isn't far, and we still have no leads. What should we do?" You asked as you leant on the girls shoulder, her gently ruffling through your hair with her slim hands.

"(Y/n), what would you like to do?" She asked as you sighed.

"I don't know. I just want to know why and how my mom died, why Sammy did what she did, and how I can save others from these titans." You told her as you saw the side of her face smile gently.

"I do as well. I'm desperate to know why she was so concerned with looking for Eren." She said as you were kind of sad she brought up Eren while the two of you spent time alone.

"After graduation where are you going?" You asked as Mikasa shrugged.

"Erens going to become a scout, so I'll probably go as well." She said

'Ask her'
'Don't ask her'
'I need to know'
'You're jealous'
'I'm not'

You thought for a moment about wether or not you should ask her. But say it now and regret it or forever hold your peace.

"Hey Mikasa Why are you so devoted to following and caring for Eren?" You asked as she smiled before frowning.

"His mother died in front of our eyes. Her last few words were telling me to protect Eren and that she loves us." Mikasa said as you gulped really hard. That's terrible.

"I'm sorry. That must be really worrying." You said in hopes of comforting her.

"Yeah. But as long as I stay by his side I'll be keeping my word for his mother." She said as you nodded.

"And you hope to stay with him until he dies when he's old?" You asked as she giggled.

"I sure hope not. I want to live my own life at one point. But right now, I don't even know who I am without him." She said as you listened to the caring girl.

"Mikasa you should become more independent. You can still protect Eren, but live a little more freely." You suggested as she rubbed her forehead.

"I don't know, I'm just so stuck, Y'know? I feel like he's all I have." She admitted as you nodded, leaning away from the girls shoulder.

"I know exactly how you feel! But at the end of the day we have to let things go and move on. But right now, you're fine." You reminded Mikasa as she nodded.

"My shoulder feels empty, lean on it again." She whispered as you didn't respond, doing just that and letting her play with your hair once again.

"I haven't been having much of those voices anymore." You whispered as the girl continued to play with your hair. You did have the voice during your conversation earlier, but it isn't how it used to be. You were proud of yourself for being able to trust Mikasa after everything.

"I'm glad." She whispered back before it became silent, a comfortable silence as you both sat together in tranquility.

"Hey everyone, I'd like to chat." You sat in a huge circle around the campfire, looking at Nanaba as she said just that. She's never talked to you all while it was nighttime like this. You were surprised she wasn't yelling for you all to get to bed.

"Okay," Jean smiled as he scooted over to give Nanaba a spot to sit, her giving the side eye before sitting next to Annie on the opposite side.

"Former Commander Keith of the scouts died a little over a week ago. the man who was working with the boys cabin here in the 104th cadet core was keith. Apparently it was some type of attack. It's devastating." She said as you and Mikasa looked at eachother in fright.
"I'm sorry everyone, but the male that works with me and you all is now dead. I'll be taking care of you all for the time being, please give me some slack, it's hard right now."

"How did he die?" A girl from another cabin spoke up, you were pretty sure her name was Christa.

"I don't know. His body wasn't even found. His house was destroyed and his body wasn't found in the rubble. They're still investigating." She said as she turned to you.

"(Y/n), I'm sorry you couldn't get answers." She said before looking at the rest of the group.

"It's late. You all should get rest. We've got training tomorrow. I just wanted to inform you guys, I'm sorry if this ruins your night." She said as Sasha shook her head.

"It's better than telling us in the morning when it'll ruin our whole day!" She said enthusiastically as she gave a thumbs up, Nanaba couldn't help smiling at.

"True. Now lights out everyone." She said as she stood up from around the campfire, walking back towards the building.

"Goodnight!" You all said to Nanaba as she walked away, while also saying it to everyone else.

Everyone scattered back to their cabins and got ready for bed.

"Mikasa, do you feel bad about lying to her? Acting like we didn't know about Keith's death?" You asked as she covered her lips with her finger.

"(Y/n), just go to sleep." She said as you turned to her.

"It was just a simple question." You said under your breath at your unanswered question.

"Your curiosity will remain.... curious?" She said hoping to have said something cool, but you just laughed at her attempt.

"Night." She said with a deep voice, sounding embarrassed trying to hide it with an intimidating tone.

"Goodnight." You respond as you closed your eyes.

"Huh?" You groaned as you walked along a hallway. A long narrow hallway you've never seen before.

"Hello?" You said quite loudly, instantly covering your ears at the loud echo of your own voice.

'Where the hell am I?' You wondered as you walked towards the light at the end of the narrow tunnel.

"Hey, the bitch found out about Samantha." You heard Annie's voice from the end of the hall.

'What?' You wonder as you begin to run towards the voice.

"She even told her about Marley. What a stupid girl. Now (y/n) knows." Annie continued, frustration in her voice as you were just so confused. You peeked around the narrow hallway as three people were sitting in a little tent. Annie, Bertholdt and Reiner.

'Why are they talking about me?' You crept towards them as they didn't notice you.

"She's gonna get herself killed back home if people find out." Bertholdt added as you looked towards him.

"She knew the consequences. She was ordered to get information from Keith. Then she lets her emotions get the best of her!" Reiner says with his normal deep voice. He sounded tired, like he didn't want to be there.

"That's because she and her ex came face to face after leaving her for months." Annie reminded them.

"Do you think Samantha actually fell in love with (y/n)? I mean her mission was to blend in with these demons by pretending to love them, but she wouldn't act like that. She wouldn't care about (y/n). But she told her to leave because she didn't want to hurt her. (Y/n) even said so." Bertholdt questioned as he was just as confused as you.

'There's no way they know Sammy, right? And why were they acting like I'm a demon that she would kill one day?'

"Remember that we'll never do that she did. I don't want to pass my titan power on by getting eaten alive like she will." Annie said as you cocked your head.

'Do they mean Sammy? Being eaten alive? And what the fuck did she mean by 'my titan power'?'
