Anxiousness

"What would you like today?" Mikasa asked as you put your hand on your chin while resting your arm on the table.

"I don't want to eat." You replied as the girl grabbed onto a cooking spoon and gently hit your head with it.

"It's already after lunch time and you haven't eaten at all today." She replied as you rubbed your hair which was just hit with a cooking spoon.

"How about some ramen? Do they have any noodles in this kitchen?" Mikasa asked herself as she went into the back of the kitchen, where there would usually be people cooking for you. But you were in the lunch room after hours, and the chefs were already off work.

"Ah they do!" Mikasa said as she came back into the lunch room.

"You have no idea what ramen noodles are, do you?" Mikasa asked as you shook your head.

"It's like spaghetti, but it's another Japanese meal, kind of similar." She said as you nodded.

Mikasa went back into the kitchen as you heard kitchen utensils being used.

About 15 minutes later, Mikasa came back into the seating area of the lunch hall as she placed two bowls down. She made one for herself and one for you.

"I put vegetables in them. It's too plain without some flavour. Eat up." She said as she grabbed onto her bowl, already beginning to dig in.

Mikasa has been making meals for you every day for the last 3 days. Small meals, but just enough to fill you up for the day and prevent you from throwing up and sickening yourself.

You tasted the noodles, they were extremely similar to spaghetti, but a little thinner and curlier. The vegetables made them taste nothing close to spaghetti though.

It was good. Really good.

You ate most of it before not being able to digest more. Mikasa took your leftovers and ate them herself after having eaten her own portion.

"I talked to Levi this morning." She said as you looked at her. So was that the reason Levi canceled your meeting for this morning yesterday?

"And?" You questioned as the girl lowered her head.

"We got you medication." She said as you raised your eyebrow.

"Im not going on medication." You said as Mikasa sighed.

"They're pills that give your body the vitamins they need." She continued as you just shook your head.

"Im not going on medication." You repeated as mikasa wasn't surprised with your answer.

"They're like vitamins. You swallow them once a day. Your body will definitely feel better after taking them." She said as you didn't understand if she knew no means no.

"I'm not doing-

"I'M WORRIED ABOUT YOU!" She shouted out as you turned away at the loud voice coming from Mikasa. You were sitting next to each other. There was no reason for her to say it that loud.

"You don't have to be worried about me." You said simply as she sighed.

"I'm going back to my room." You said, feeling uncomfortable as you stood up to leave the lunch room.

As much as you were thankful for Mikasa cooking for you, why in the world would she want you on medication? And Levi agreeing to it as well?

'She wants to help me, my ass. I'm not fucking my body up even more by putting pills down my throat' you mumbled as you sat on your bed, looking towards the crackers Jean gave you last week. You should probably throw them out. They probably have mold on them by now.

You curled up in your bed and rested against the side of your pillow. The scouts and other soldiers were back to training, and going on small missions like nothing had ever happened. It made you feel as if they didn't care about all the people that died. Well why should they? It wasn't their fault. It was yours.

"Wake up." Mikasa stood at the foot of your bed as you turned from your side to look at her.

"What." You questioned with a raspy voice as she placed a folded letter on your dresser.

"From captain Levi. Read it." She said sternly as you looked over at the covered note. Why couldn't Levi just tell you what he needed to say to your face? And why did Mikasa sound so serious?

Mikasa went back to her room as you were left unanswered, grabbing onto the note.

Levi's handwriting was insanely hard to read. It was too fancy. You only thought rich people wrote in cursive, but you thought wrong.

You could make out words, and you read the first sentence. And you could already tell this wasn't a note you were looking forward to reading.

The note was basically telling you that a couple of the scouts would travel to Marley undercover for a little while to understand what we're up against. Not to mention it also said your pills were mandatory to take.

You grabbed onto your crutch with the note in hand as you went up towards Levi's upstairs office.

"Sir what is this?" You knocked on the man's door as you held the note in your hand.

The man opened the door for you as he had a bottle of pills in his hand.

"(Y/n), you're the main key to our missions." Levi stated as you clutched your hand that was carrying the note.

"Captain. I don't need those pills. And why in the world are you guys going to Marley? Are you asking to get killed?" You questioned as the man motioned for you to come in and sit down.

He sat in his desk as he placed the pills onto his desk.

"These pills aren't something that will be bad for you. In fact, Mikasa had nothing to do with them. I ordered her to tell you about them because I knew she was the closest to you." He stated as you still felt uneasy with the idea of taking pills.

"But sir, Mikasa thinks I've got some mental issues. I don't. I've just been feeling off since the Reiner and Bertholdt mission" you said as he nodded.

"These pills aren't related to your mental health. This pill is an energy booster, and will make it easier for you to have mobility with one leg." He stated as you were now confused.

"So why did Mikasa act like it was for my mental health and not my physical health?" You questioned as Levi sighed.

"I didn't tell her what the medication was. She must've overthought it and got stressed." Levi responded as you understood that possibility.

"You're sure this is a positive pill that won't damage my body?" You questioned as Levi placed his hand on his forehead.

"Do you really think I'd make you take something that wouldn't benefit you." Levi asked as you kind of laid back now realizing how much you blew it out of proportion.

"You take one a day, and it'll increase your legs muscle strength." He said as he moved the container of pills closer to you.

"Are there any side effects?" You questioned as he shook his head.

"Besides a little bit of sweat, there's nothing to worry about." He replied as you nodded, grabbing onto the pills.

"And sir, about the Marley mission. Why am I coming? I'll be such an easy target." You admitted as you knew that if you were busted, you were done for. The others could run. The others could fight. You couldn't do much of either.

"We will protect you. Be sure of that. We need you there because you're the only one that knows where that man could be." He said as you raised your eyebrow.

"Your dream. You were running past jail cells. We have to find that location, where the man is, and where he's keeping all of these people captured." He said as you remembered the jail cells vividly. Your mother was there as well.

When the image of your mother came up, you had decided that you were going without a second thought. If your mother was still alive, you could save her.

"Yes sir." You responded, letting the man know you had a change of heart and was going to go as well.
