Mission: LOVE ⚔️ (mikasa x reader)

Waiting for return

"Fuck." You groaned as you sat on the hay stack outside of the scout base, beside the barn.

You were so happy to be able to take off the odm gear and put it away.

It was terribly heavy.

You got your crutches which you left on the ground near the hay to be able to actually walk and put the odm gear away.

You went back to Pine before petting him and a couple of the other horses.

Mikasas horse especially, you recognized. These other horses were all new but you didn't mind. You pet them all and made sure they were fed this morning.

You used your crutches to go back inside the base, and back up to where Levi was.

By this time, it was already getting dark outside and you were quite happy with the decision to come back in time.

"Captain?" You questioned as you knocked on the man's office door to hear no response. You noticed the door was slightly open, just enough for you to peak through the cracks.

The man was once again turned around to face the window. Has he been in here like this the whole time?

"Sir my dream was right. There are hordes of titans coming from the north. They just keep and keep coming!" You said concerned as the man turned around in his chair looking at you dead in the eyes from the crack of the door. You opened the door wide before stepping into the room in embarrassment.

"The scouts are fighting them off, but they've been at it for already half of a day.  Sir I don't know how long the scouts are going to be able to last fighting non stop if these titans don't stop coming!" You voiced your concerns as the man nodded picking up the phone.

"I'll call the other bases. Have them send their cadets to help." Levi said as you felt your nerves rushing back to your body. What if these titans never stopped coming? It's all because of you.

"(Y/n), go to bed." The man said as you shook your head almost instinctively.

"Sir what if I see that man again in my dream?" You questioned as the man sighed.

"If the man asks for Eren again, make a believable lie, so he won't send more titans to break the walls." He said as you understood slightly as to how that might work. But he saw through your lie last time when you said you didn't know who Eren was.

That's the whole reason the walls were getting attacked in the first place.

Levi stopped talking to you as he got ahold of the other bases, asking for their commander and captain, and for them to guide the cadets to help the scouts who were protecting the walls.

You took that as your time to leave, trying to go back to your room. But you couldn't sleep, there's no way in hell you could sleep knowing there are titans incoming nonstop from the north. What if the scouts got hurt? You didn't want people to die or even get hurt because of you.

You went into Mikasa's room before sitting on her bed.

When was she going to come back?

Mikasa had a small clip next to her bed on her dresser. A plain white one shed sometimes clip in her hair to move her bangs out of the way. Mikasa always hid parts of her forehead. You wondered why.

She had shorter hair, and often tied it up in a pony tail. She looked really hot when she did that.

You placed the hair clip back after picking it up to observe it. Then you turned to her pillow, picking it up and hugging it. You probably looked like a fool doing something like this, but you missed her. You wanted her to be safe. And this pillow was the closest to hugging her as you could come back.

"Please let Mikasa please be safe." You whispered out loud, kind of like in a praying way.

"Please let the others be safe as well." You continued before opening your eyes in sadness.

You lied down on Mikasa's bed while hugging her pillow, hoping she'd come storming into her room to take away the pillow from you and sigh at the dumb shit you'd always end up doing.

But the base was dead quiet. Every creak in the floor you could hear, but no voices, laughs, foot steps, the usual things you'd hear every second of the day were no longer there.

"Hey get up." Someone pulled on your shirt as you turned around, wiping you eyes, before fluttering them open to see who was pulling you.

"Mikasa..." you groaned before your body automatically woke up and you shot up in the girls bed.

"Mikasa, you're here!" You said cheerfully as you got up and hugged the girl making sure to keep your balance so you wouldn't fall, her not hugging back, definitely being too tired.

She reeked of sweat. You didn't even know the time, but she was definitely tired.

"Are the titans all gone! No more are trying to attack?!" You questioned, ignoring the girls stench and looked around the room.  You grabbed onto your crutches to help yourself stand.

"They stopped coming at about midnight. Your dream was right. The man sent them for a whole day." The girl groaned with a raspy voice before taking off her uniform pants and top, leaving her in nothing but her underwear and tank top,  flopping onto her bed and positioning the pillow behind her head and closing her eyes.

"Uh..." you said awkwardly as you looked to the girl who was already almost knocked out from how tired she was.

"I don't care you were sleeping in my bed... just let me sleep now." She said before getting comfortable and pulling the covers up to her chin.

"Goodnight." You whispered before going for the door, before being interrupted by Sasha, who was stretching as she came into the room.

"Why're you still up?" Sasha questioned as you put your finger on your lip for her to be quiet.

You left their room before going to Jean and Connie's room, Connie instantly slamming the door, you jumping back, before watching him open it slightly.

"God damn don't you know privacy?" the boy asked, still looking like he had energy.

"Sorry Connie. Wanted to check in on the two of you. Are you alright?" You questioned as he put up a finger telling you to wait.

You heard shuffling and quiet whispers before the boy opened up the door.

"We were changing." Connie said as he sat down on his bed, Jean already lying down in his.

"How're you guys doing?" You questioned as Jean sighed from his bed before putting his arm over his head.

"Pain in my ass." He groaned as you wondered if he meant you or the titans.

Well, the titans were your fault, so either way he in some way meant you.

"Jean can I talk to you tomorrow morning?" You questioned as the boy yawned.

"When I wake up." He said before shuffling around his bed.

You watched as Connie lied down in his bed.

"Goodnight guys." You whispered to the two boys before closing the blinds for them.
