And yet, you weren't chased. Mikasa didn't follow you. But you didn't expect her to, so you were fine.
You got the guts to kiss her, what's the worst that can happen now? You were happy.
You got your luggage and got onto the bus, seeing both Annie and Hitch already sitting in the seats at the very back together. You went to sit in front of the two of them.
"Everyone on?" Nanaba asked as she looked through a check board, giving a nod before turning to the man riding the bus.
"All set" She said as she turned to you all in the bus.
"This is goodbye. I'd love to hear great things about you all in the future." Nanaba put her hand on her heart as you smiled at the respect the woman gave you all.
"Goodbye!" You all said as she got off the bus, the driver closing the door and starting up the engine.
You looked out of the window as you were about to drive away.
Just then, mikasa came running out of your cabin towards the bus. You've never seen a girl run so fast. Your eyes lit up from inside the bus as she reached out her hand, you placing your hand on the window of the bus.
"I love you." You whispered knowing she wouldn't hear, but hoping she'd be able to read your lips.
She pointed to herself before holding up two fingers. "Me too."
You watched as the bus moved, Mikasa slowly going out of sight as you kept looking until she was actually too far to see.
You sat back down in your seat properly as you felt a hand on your shoulder.
Hitch was patting you with a smile as Annie sat next to her.
"You'll be okay." Hitch said as you sniffled with a nod.
"I will." You smiled through your watery eyes.
You knew the drive would be long. Not only that, you were incredibly tired as well. You watched the outside world from the window, often bumping your head against the glass because of how terrible the roads were, and how shitty the bus was.
At least it wasn't horses or a carriage. That would be an even more bumpy ride. Your horse would be taken by carriage towards your new location.
Pine was an amazing horse. He was very gentle and you gained eachothers trust. He was the first ever pet you've had, and you felt as if a damn horse is a friend. It made you feel like a loser, but sometimes having something as simple as a horse is enough to keep you happy.
You couldn't wait to see him when you got to the military police base. You wondered if you'd get to choose your rooms, considering Nanaba had told you before hand that the military police were wealthy and had actual rooms instead of cabins.
It also gave you a chance to use their phones to call your dad. As much as you distrusted him, you needed to know if your house was in shape. Especially your mothers garden. He had to have. As much as he is an asshole, there's no way he could fail THE ONE THING you asked of him.
The road became less bumpy as you began to see less and less, tuning out Hitch and Annie's talking.
~
"Hey sleepy head." You felt a tap on your head as you turned to Hitch who was giving a smirk.
"We're here." She whispered as she looked out the window, you turning to look out the window as well.
You were stopped in front of the kings castle. You've only ever heard of it. It's crazy that this place was actually here. Anyways, why were you here?
"We're in the very centre of all walls. Rich people shit." Hitch smiled as she pointed towards the pond in front of the castles garden. It had a huge stone statue in front of it. It truly was rich people shit.
"Everyone off." The driver said as you and the 10 other people on the bus got off.
You didn't expect the amount of cadets wanting to become apart of the military police to be so little. They must've all decided to go to the garrison regiment or scout regiment.
"Hey, why are we here?" You asked the man driving as he clicked his tongue.
"You'll be protecting the king, so it's only reasonable you know this area, and the people who work here and also protect the king." He said as you eyes lit up, you turning to Hitch.
"We're going to meet the king?" You asked, shocked at knowing you've never been in the presence of loyalty.
"Don't be stupid." Annie walked up to you, flicking your head and getting off the bus.
"We'll just be introduced to the castle, that's all." Hitch told you as you held your forehead with a pout, kind of disappointed you wouldn't actually be able to see the king.
~
"Ah so cool!" You said as you looked into the sky, there being a glass ceiling, you being able to see the setting sun.
Was it already this late?
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, your tour is over. I'll be taking you to the military police buildings." The man said as you were greeted with a carriage. Man, what happened to the bus?
You got on the back of the carriage, cramming into the large wooden open back as the man got on the horse.
Why couldn't you ride Pine and not have to sit in this wooden garbage of a trunk?
The whole ride was bumpy, but thank god the military police buildings weren't far from the kings castle. The buildings were still in the dead centre of wall Sena.
"Hey." You tapped Hitches head, her lying on your shoulder and beginning to snore. Unlike you, she stayed up the whole bus ride so now she's knocked out, while you on the other hand, was dead awake.
"Yeah?" The girl lifted her head from your shoulder as you turned to the building in front of you.
"We're here." You said as the man riding the horse got off of the horse to help you all down.
