It's been two years since then, and you and Mikasa had become closer than ever once again.

Jean and Connie had finished helping you build a house, which you surprised Mikasa with on her 22nd birthday.

Now that you were settled,  you wanted to marry her, but you were still conflicted about if she was truly over Eren or if she was just not ready to take such a huge step.

Mikasa has still been working on finishing Hanji's mechanical leg for you, but it was a working process so you weren't angry. You just hoped you'd be able to walk like a normal person again, not where you have to hop around or use crutches every second you want to move.

Even Levi got something to help him move, since he permanently damaged his leg, Gabi had made him a wheelchair.

She even offered to make you one, but sitting all day to move around would only hurt your ass and make you lazy.

"Here." Mikasa handed you a cup as you sat up from bed.

"Ice latte." She said, noticing you were looking into the cup wondering what she was giving you.

"Oh, thank you." You took a sip of the drink before taking a deep breath.

"Refreshing." You smiled as the girl sat at the edge of your bed.

Though you shared a house, you and Mikasa had separate rooms.  Now that you no longer had visions, Mikasa didn't sleep next to you to comfort you. You never talked to her about it, but you wished she continued to sleep next to you.

"Big day today." She said as she grabbed the empty cup from your hands before putting it on the nightstand.

"Mmh." You replied, still feeling slightly tired, not understanding what exactly she was saying.

"Two years, Remember?" Mikasa questioned as you nodded, getting out of your bed and standing up.

"Put on pants." Mikasa said as you had totally forgotten you sleep in nothing but small underwear.

"My bad." You said as you grabbed onto your uniform pants, putting them on.

"We're having a party near the dock. To commemorate. I'm surprised you forgot." Mikasa said as you shook your head.

"I didn't even know in the first place. Since when was there going to be a party?" You asked as she looked out the window.

"That asshole Jean. Did he not tell you? I told him to tell you." Mikasa groaned as you shook your head. Jean was not one to remember things either. But the truth was, you told Jean to keep quiet because you had a surprise for her this evening.

"Of all people to rely on, Jean?" You wondered, knowing Mikasa had never thought that through.

"Okay maybe that wasn't the best idea of mine. Anyways, cmon." She said as she opened your drapes, allowing the sunlight enter the room fully.

You got out of bed, following her out of the house as she stared at your outfit.

"Ive noticed, you still wear your uniform. Like everyday. You know we can buy actual clothes now?" Mikasa said as she pointed down at her plain white shirt that wasn't apart of the scouts uniform.

"We've worn the same clothes for like... six years straight. It'll feel weird to switch it up, yknow?" You asked as the girl looked confused.

"I'm going to take you shopping one day." She said as you nodded.

"Until then, I'll comfortably stay in what I've been wearing all these years." You smiled.

Mikasa had no idea you were lying this whole time. The truth was, you planned the celebration in the first place, and told the others to play along as well. While the party for the one year anniversary of the titans being gone was important, this year it was about you.
