Emotions being torn

Another week had passed. Mikasa has been ignoring you for a full week. What the fuck did you do wrong this time?

You were currently down in the underground part of the scout base, in that closed off room you'd go to every other morning at 7am.

You didn't want to think about mikasa at a time like this but you just couldn't think of anything else.

"(Y/n), I'd like to propose a mission." Levi said as you were awoken from your trance after hearing your name.

"Yes?" You questioned as the man continued.

"Get closer to Reiner and Bertholdt. Befriend them and every morning we'll see how you progress. Try to get them to give you any answers. Their weaknesses, fears, anything." He said as you nodded.

That didn't sound too hard.

"Yes sir." You said before Hanji spoke up.

"Were you lost in thought my dear?" Hanji asked, noticing you were a little out of it a while ago.

"Some complications with a fellow scout. Nothing to worry about." You smiled to let Hanji know you were fine.

"Please resolve that. I don't want you worrying about someone else while we're discussing important things." Hanji said as you nodded in approval.

"Sorry, Hanji." You said as Erwin looked at you before turning to the other two.

"(Y/n), there will be a chance that bertholdt and Reiner will not open up to you, considering they know you were the one that found out about Annie's identity. Be cautious and tell us everything." Erwin said as you agreed, knowing there was a very small chance of things actually going your way.

"Alright. You're good to go. Have a great day (y/n)," Erwin said to which you actually smiled.

"Thank you so much sir." You said as you got up, holding onto your crutches and walked up the stairs slowly, making sure that you wouldn't fall.

The others had already begun training, and you felt like the odd one out. But it's not like you could train anyways. You could barely do anything with one leg.

"(Y/n), phone!" Hanji said as you got your crutches once again, hopping towards the phone.

You totally forgot you would get to use one call once a week. But who was calling you this time.

"Got it Hanji!" You said as you wobbled up to the phone, putting one crutch down so you could reach for the phone.

"Hello?" You asked as a boys voice responded.

"Jacob! Hi!" You exclaimed as you were so happy to hear the boys voice again.

"How's everything going over there? Made any great discoveries?" He asked as you giggled.

"It's been a week. And I'm no scientist, so..." you smiled as the boy continued to talk.

"I had a shitty day so I thought I'd use this weeks call today to talk to you."

You heard a door click as a girl walked in.

"Aw Jacob that's so sweet! Please tell me what's wrong though?" You questioned as your eyes widened at who the girl that walked in was. It was Mikasa.

She walked right past you to get a cup of water in the room next to the one the phone was in. Yikes, this was definitely awkward.

Though, you continued to listen to Jacob talk about why he had a bad day yesterday, apparently his odm gear failed and he fell on his wrist and busted it. It's not exactly broken, but it was wrapped up and now he has to stay in bed and away from training until he heals.

"I might've jinxed it when I made the joke about you not losing an arm or leg before you left on my birthday." You giggled as he laughed in return.

"You busy?" He asked as you shook your head.

"Everyone else is training so no. Why?" You asked as the boy continued.

"Because I want to talk to you longer dumbass. Tell me how you and Mikasa have been. You haven't confessed to her yet, right?" He asked as you sighed.

"Long long story Jacob." You said as you watched as Mikasa walked past you back out the door, not even looking at you on the way out.

Perfect. Now you could talk to Jacob about her all you wanted. And you didn't hold back from expressing your frustration over Eren always being with her and her always wanting to be by his side.

Jacob gave you the jealousy talk, and told you you were definitely a very jealous person. But he also told you you should give her the same treatment. Make her jealous in return. Jacob was petty like that, and after hearing him say it, you were not too against it either. Call yourself petty but what about it?

The call ended as you went back to your room to write in a notebook, things you would say to Bertholdt and Reiner to get answers. Conversation starters for the two of them and such.

You didn't eat dinner today. You didn't feel like it. It might be unhealthy for your body but you weren't in the mood, and quite frankly you didn't care.

After a while, you placed your notebook down and decided to go get some fresh air outside of your room. You haven't talked to anyone today, it seemed very odd for you, who loved to be talked to by anyone and everyone.

You paced back in forth in the hallway. to an outsider, watching you pace with crutches would seem so dumb, but you just didn't know what to do. You felt like you wanted to distance yourself yet you went out of your room in hopes of being able to talk to someone.

You rushed towards Erens room before hearing Mikasas voice, you noticing the door being slightly open, just enough so you could peek through.

And there they were, gently pressing their lips against each others. You wanted to fucking puke. Why? WHY?
