Mission: LOVE ⚔️ (mikasa x reader)

Ocean

"You all have your bags?" Levi questioned as you and the others nodded while holding onto your bags.

Most of the people you were close with came along. Mikasa, Eren, Jean, Sasha, Connie, Armin, Hanji, Levi. They were all people you trusted.

Connie and Sasha were a much tighter clique as you didn't mind. Connie had gotten quite tall over the last year, now that him and Sasha were 17.

They were both still idiots though, that didn't change. You wondered if they were dating, but even if you asked they would joke about it and leave you even more confused. They stood next to each other as you stood by Mikasa, Eren standing on her other side.

Levi nodded as he brought you to follow him towards your horses. He told you you'd travel by horse until you reached the ocean where you'd take the boat to Marley. You tried to think back about a time you actually travelled on a boat, but you had no memories of it. You've never been on a boat.

Before Erwin had died long ago, he made a map of what beyond the walls looks like. He estimated where Marley would be based on where the ocean was.

You've never seen an ocean. And neither did any of the other scouts. Armin was especially excited.

You could control Pine as you trained with him almost every day. He's a good horse, and you were sad that he couldn't come with you all the way to Marley, but will have to go back to base after bringing you to the boat.

"Good luck guys!" Historia stood outside of a farm near the scout base. Historia was royalty, yet she didn't want to take the position as queen, at least she didn't want to just yet. She was alone, and she couldn't make such a commitment at such a young age.

Not to mention Ymir, the girl she was in love with got captured by the people of Marley. Supposedly, Ymir was a titan as well. But she didn't try to kill anyone, in fact she tried to protect Historia and everyone else in the walls. She was like Eren. She wasn't a bad person. She was on your side.

You wished you or others could hear her side of the story. Sadly you were left unanswered as the girl had no chance of coming back. She could've been killed long ago. No one knew.

As much as Historia was plastering a smile on her face, deep down she was very sad. You felt it.

"Thank you!" You all waved back as you passed her and the farm before heading towards the direction of the ocean.

It was quite a while of horseback riding before you got to your destination. And man, you were in awe.

Water. So much blue. The reflection of the sun hitting the water. It was all just so insane.

You got off your horse before sitting on the sand. You placed your hands in the warm sand as you lifted your hands, letting the sand pour down through your fingers. You took off your shoe and sock as the tide raised and soaked your foot.

You turned towards three loud voices as Connie and Jean were throwing Sasha into the water. Armin was grabbing onto sea shells and Eren was turned to face the opposite direction.

Where was-

"The water is cold." The girl sat next to you as you smiled seeing her.

"It's really nice!" You cheered as she leant forward, scooping up some water with her hands before tossing the water towards you, you trying to block the water with your hands but being too late to do so. A little bit of the water went into your mouth as you spit it out with a giggle.

"Why?!" You said loudly as you leant forward, digging your hands into the sand and throwing it at Mikasa as she moved out of the way so she didn't get her clothes dirty.

"You're lucky I can't get up and push you into the water." You said as the girl gave a cocky looking expression.

She got up herself before jumping into the water, hitting her butt against the ocean floor. You giggled knowing she probably thought that would be much more rewarding. Yet she didn't go deep enough into the water to not fall flat on her butt.

"Oh shut up." She said with an embarrassed look as she realized she just got all of her clothes wet.

"MIKASA I TOLD YOU ALL NOT TO GET YOUR UNIFORM WET!" Levi said loudly as you looked at him before turning back to Mikasa as she walked next to you on the shore.

"Not so smart huh." You teased as the girl plopped her body down next to yours.

"This might be the last time we actually have fun together." She said as you turned from the ocean to look at her.

"Why?" You questioned as she made a gun motion with her fingers.

"Boom." She made a weird noise as she pretended to shoot the gun. Was that really her response to your question?

"We can still be happy." You reminded her as she didn't say anything, but turned to the side.

"We'll kill the enemies, and then we'll stay with each other. We can have endless fun, and we'll live happily ever after." You said as Mikasa made a small smile as she turned back towards you.

"This isn't some fairytale." She reminded you as you shrugged.

"I just wanted to dream. What our lives would be like without the walls or titans." You said as you dug your hand into the sand, feeling the softness against your hands.

"It wouldn't matter, because that's not reality." She reminded you as you sighed.

"Would you still be with me if all of this wasn't happening?" You questioned as Mikasa leant up before flicking your forehead.

"Would you still like m-

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE PACK IT UP THE BOAT IS HERE." Hanji screamed as you turned to which Hanji set a rope onto the pole on the dock.

Mikasa got up before walking towards the boat, you being sad she left you hanging like that. Maybe you shouldn't question the relationship you had with Mikasa.

You stood up before looking back to your horse which was being guided back to base by a boy named Floch. He was new to the scouts, well you think he is... you don't even know where he came from. But you hoped him and the others would take care of Pine and the base.

You hopped onto the boat, using the rail for support as you sat down near the front deck of the boat.

Mikasa and the others stood around the drivers seat, admiring the fact that this wasn't just some boat. It was a new model, which had a motor and all. Hanji's team had worked on building this boat for the last year, and it's crazy to think that they made a boat from scratch. It was impressive.

And soon, the boat pulled away from the dock and began heading north.

You pulled out your map from your pocket as you put your finger on where you were before looking forwards towards the direction you were heading.

"Marley here we come." You whispered under your breath as you rolled the map up, placing it back in your pocket.
