167: Old insanity, how are you?

16/Nov/19:
"Oh, I wish I could go home"
  I whisper to the rain
As I stand in her yellow wellies
Pieces of heaven run down my face
"I wish I could go home"
  To our farm again
Where I felt safe and sane
So look up at the lamppost
There is a ring of light
The halo of a rainbow ghost
God are you giving me a promise tonight?
"I wish I could go home...
Where has it gone?"

Kisses 21/Nov/19:
Can I tell you why my tongue turned stale
On that silver night
Licking snowflakes by the dale
I caught you, a familiar stranger, in my sight
And though some ponder if it is true
That one can do readily decide
But I genuinely fell in love with you
A love as cold as that misty sigh

Lamppost 16/Nov/19:
When the water dripped from the lamppost's chin
I thought it reminded me of Totoro
But now as I look back
I kind of hope
That the drip was something else
Something warm falling onto the bathroom floor
And dying on the tiles
Something I can plaster together
That hurts exactly as I do
But I can't do it
Because it's everyone's body I would be hurting
Not only mine

8/Dec/19
My basement is in the attic
With a bathtub
Where I drown my thoughts
Float around me
The sanity leaking over the sides
I look from under the water
And tell the concrete ghosts above me
The lost and found went missing
