I can see it... in my palm is a pool of crystal water.
Koi fish, as small as ants, ripple the surface of my blue waters. They are beautiful fish, shimmering in the summer warmth with their radiant colours.
A blue Koi comes to my thumb and nibbles the nail- he pulls my hand inwards until I have cupped the fish in my hands, blocking away the sun's light. I open my thumbs slightly and peek through the small hole. I gasp. In my palms... is a galaxy...
The water has risen to almost spilling from my fingers. Tiny lights like stars sparkle white and green and blue- they reflect on the Koi's scales and wisps of light follow the glowing fish, dancing like northern lights in the black water.
The blue fish raises its head to the surface. He says he cannot breathe and I understand; I have an entire, beautiful world of life in my palms - now I just have to protect it.
Now I have to heal it.
