Chapter 11;

*Carsons POV*

As I kissed Makenzies hand, I started to feel an uncomfortable feeling inside me. I wasn't used to it. I haven't felt this feeling in years, and yet, it has striked me again.

I think I am falling for Makenzie.

I used to kiss Emileighs wounds when she would cry over them. Emileigh would show me where it hurt, and then have me kiss it better for her. I never understood what kissing the wound had to do with it feeling better, but I did it for her. I guess it was just a habit now.

Makenzie seemed confused as to why I kissed her hand, and I quickly pushed her hand away. "Sorry." I muttered, starting back up the engine. Makenzie shook her head, and stated out the other window.

I started driving again, but it started to rain. It was getting really hard to see. I stopped at a stop light, but my car didn't stop fast enough. It slid out in the middle of the road as a huge truck was turning the corner.

Our cars clashed together, and it completely flipped our car over. The car rolled two times, and Makenzie started screaming. The windows shattered, and the doors dented inwards. I felt a pain in my side, and in my head, but I didn't care for that much.

"Makenzie, are you alright?!" I practically shouted. I turned my head slightly and Makenzie had blood dripping down both sides of her head. Her hair was matted with blood, and her lip was also bleeding. She didn't answer me. "Makenzie?!" No answer once again.

I started to panic, but I soon heard sirens of an ambulance and firefighters arriving. I heard people start yelling, and running towards the car. A man in a paramedic outfit crouched down and looked into the car.

"Are you two alright?" he asked, as he looked around the car. I whimpered and nodded. "Stay put. Don't move. We will get you two out of there." he instructed, as six men started to flip the car over.

Makenzie and I were rushed out of the car quickly, and on our way to the hospital.

*3 hours later*

I ended up getting stitches in the side of my hip because a piece of the glass window was deep in my skin. I didn't have anything else wrong with me, other than a massive headache. Makenzie on the other hand... She was rushed into surgery because apparently, she had a huge chunk of glass under her ribs and they have to surgically remove it.

I was sitting in the ER waiting room with Tyler and Danielle. They were giving me dirty looks, and I kept my head down the entire time to avoid their glares. This was all my fault. If only I had better control on the car..

One of Makenzies doctors came out in the waiting room, and asked Tyler and Danielle to come and talk to him in private. I wanted to go in there too, but Danielle refused to let me in.

Makenzie could've been dead, and it would've been all of my fault.
