Chapter 43;
*Makenzies POV*
*4 years later*
The years decided to fly by as Chase grew up. I missed it when he was just a little thing. Four years ago I have birth to a beautiful baby boy. He's growing up and I didn't want him to. He was my baby. Today was his 4th birthday and the only ones celebrating it was Carson, Bentley, Alec, and I. We were Chase's family. He didn't think anything else of it. We were still living in the abandon house, but we made it into our own. Alec brought him home a chocolate ice cream cake, and Bentley bought some balloons for him. Carson and I baked his favorite food; BBQ chicken, and Chase was happy.
Carson cut up a piece of chicken for Chase and brought it to the table for him. Chase beamed at his dad, and began to eat his food. "This is good daddy!" Chase exclaimed.
Carson chuckled and messed up Chases hair. "You have your mother to thank too," Carson looked over at me as I sat the oven mitts down.
"Thank you mommy!"
I laughed slightly. "You're welcome, Chase," I sat down next to my son and husband.
Yes, Carson and I got married a year after Chase was born. We thought it would be better that way for him. Everything we do is for our son. He is our life now.
Alec and Bentley came in with the stuff they got for Chase, and Chase's eyes grew wide. He jumped up from his chair and ran over to both of them, hugging their legs.
"Uncle Alec! Uncle Ben!" Chase's laughter filled the room, and it was the sweetest sound I've heard.
They both laughed to themselves and hugged Chase back. Chase was such a sweet kid, and he never really did anything wrong. He was the perfect child. Alec bent down to pick Chase up, and Bentley came over to where Carson and I were to hand us the balloons.
"Thanks," I muttered as I took them from him. Bentley walked back over to embrace Chase and Alec started running away from him.
"Catch us if you can!" Alec yelled from the upstairs. I heard Chase giggle, and Bentley climbing the stairs.
Carson rubbed my back and kissed me. "Thank you," he whispered in my ear. His breath made me shiver.
"For?"
"Bringing our son into this world,"
"It was a two way thing here,"
Carson laughed and wrapped his arms around me. "How did I ever get so lucky to get such a beautiful woman like you?"
"Now you want something," I said, turning my face towards him.
Carson half smiled and bit his lip. "Well, I did have something in mind..." He took my hand and dragged me into the living, up the stairs, and into our room. He started kissing me all over and tried to undress me. I stopped him and looked him in those beautiful ice blue eyes of his.
"Now? It's Chases birthday!"
Carson looked towards our soon and sighed. "I believe Alec and Bentley have it covered. Also, we haven't done much since Chase was born and I was thinking, hm, how about some birthday sex?" he tickled me and I grasped my sides.
I grabbed his hands and held them close. I nuzzled my face in his neck and said, "How about later tonight?"
Carson chuckled and gave in. We went back downstairs to be greeted by the lights out and Alec lighting the candles on Chase's cake. Once he was done, we sang happy birthday to him. He smiled so big at us, and it was adorable. Chase soon blowed out the candles and started digging into the cake.
"Wow little man, you've got the appetite of your father," Bentley remarked, glancing over at Carson.
Carson smiled a little but he didn't seem amused. Bentley shook it off and continued to watch Chase as he ate his cake.
"Looks like its gonna keep storming..." Alec looked out the window, and it was cracking thunder all around us. "Sorry Chase, we will have to play football another time,"
"It's s'okay, Uncle Alec," Chase smiled and hugged Alec. "Thank you for the cake,"
"You're welcome," Alec kissed Chase on the cheek and left the room to go and watch tv. Bentley followed after him and soon, Chase did too. I laughed cleaned up Chase's mess.
As I was watching the dishes, I felt Carson come up behind me and tuck my hair behind my head. He was kissing my neck, and he had his hands close to my area. I got goosebumps as I felt Carson's teeth graze my earlobe. I turned around and glared at Carson. He had this innocent look on his face, and he shrugged.
"You. Me. Bedroom. Now," I demanded, grabbing Carson by the arm and snuck him upstairs.

Carson and I laid in complete blissfulness. Everything was perfect and I don't think anything could mess it up. I was cuddled under the blankets with Carson's arms around me. We were still naked and we were both tired. We haven't had sex in a long while and we missed it. Carson looked down at me and laughed to himself.
"You look so little," He smirked, rubbing my arm.
"Your penis is little," I countered.
Carson acted like he was offended. He knew he wasn't little and he knew that I knew too. "Why Mrs. Taylor, that is no way to talk to your husband," he joked.
I was still getting use to my last name not being Smith. "I was joking," I reached up to kiss his nose. "I love you,"
"I know, I love you too,"
That's when I knew everything would be perfect. That's when I knew everything was going to be alright. That I was finally at peace. No distractions, no family, no anything. I was with the people I cared about. I finally made the person I care about, not to be afraid of love.
Authors Note; I hate ending the book but I just don't have anymore ideas. Should I write a sequel with Chases life? Let me know what you think and why! Thank you so much for all those who have supported me with this! I love you all!
