Before Sonic could do anything, Shadow had pulled away from the hug and gotten up on his feet. While drying the tears from his eyes. Shadow wanted nothing more than to just crawl under a rock, but he knew that he wouldn't get anything done that way. He needed to get back to finding a way back home.
Sonic slowly got up on his feet as well, he was still a bit confused as to what had happened but he decided to just ignore it. At least for now.

"How long was I asleep?" Shadow asked as he tried to regain his composure, he wanted to just forget the whole thing. No one knew just how bad his nightmares were. Not even Rouge. Tough he guessed that the white bat was starting to figure it out.

"About 3 days. You kinda had me worried." Sonic responded as he kept his gaze on Shadow. Sonic was still worried about Shadow, even though he had a feeling that he didn't need to be.

"I also explained your situation to Tails. He has been looking into finding out a way for you to get back home." Sonic quickly added, causing Shadow to look back at him. Emerald green eyes met ruby red and the first thing Sonic noticed was the slight confusion in Shadow's eyes. Shadow tried to mask his confusion but Sonic saw right through it.

"He actually believed you?" Sonic couldn't help but smirk a bit at that, though at the same time he could understand why that would confuse Shadow.

"Not at first and I don't blame him. But after we both ran into our version of you, let's just say that made him believe me."

"The two of you met him? What happened?" Shadow found himself asking. Though he had no idea just why he had asked that.

"Nothing. He kind of just stared at us, then disappeared. No idea how though, but I'm guessing he wasn't running."

"He wasn't. He probably used Chaos Control." Sonic's ears perked up when he heard that, he didn't know what that was after all.

"Chaos Control?"

"An ability that allows the user to teleport to a new location. And before you ask, no. I can't Chaos Control back to my own dimension. I would need 2 Chaos Emeralds for that." Sonic felt his jaw drop a bit, causing his lips to form an 'o'. He couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

"Does that mean you can teleport as well?"

" Yes. That's how I got myself into this fucking mess..." Shadow let out a groan after that. This whole ordeal had been nothing but trouble, and it could literally be the death of him.

"I knew it was a bad idea to try and use Chaos Control to travel through time... One should never use Chaos Control to travel back or forward in time... It could destroy everything, but no! He just refused to listen to me..." Sonic felt himself flinch as he heard Shadow raise his voice slightly. He didn't know why, but Shadow had the ability to both terrify him and make him curious.

"What are you talking about? Who are you talking about?"

"Someone wanted me to try out a time-machine and no, I'm not telling you who it was. I've no idea just how the time-machine made me end up here, but I can worry about that when I get back home."

"Okay then... How is your jaw?"

"Fully healed, like all other injuries I had." Sonic was just about to ask something else after that, but his communicator went off. Causing Shadow's ear to twitch, the noise sounded a lot worse for him.
