"Uno!" Yelled Cody, playfully slamming his deck of cards on the table as Corey attempted to yell uno as fast as his best friend could.
Immediately, Corey threw his head back in annoyance. How could no one beat Cody?
Everyone laughed at the bright eyed boy's expression, as Kacie quickly eyed Cody's lap.
"Whatcha got there?" Asked Kacie, leaning over Cody's shoulder as Corey, Chris, Max, Justin, Kiké, and Alex's eyes fell to Cody's lap, where a lone card sat.
"Whoops, must've missed that—" Cody started sheepishly.
"UNO!" Yelled Corey, throwing his card down and banging his fist on the table, abruptly rising from his seat as he sang, "Pay up Bellinger!"
A loud laughter echoed the room, as Cody grimaced then pulled out his wallet, shaking his head as he eyed Kacie.
"You better take Mady out on a good date with that money!" Said Kellie, Max's wife.
Laughter once again filled the room, as Corey waved around the $200 that he had collected from Cody, which he had been trying to win ever since he met Cody, and that everyone else had been trying to win since they knew Cody as well.
"Hey, hold on!" Kiké exclaimed, "Whose to say you hadn't cheated every single time you beat us before? Shouldn't we all get paid!?"
"Yeah! Come on Cody!" Justin chuckled, "Pay us, now!"
"Fuck my life." Cody giggled, his face in his palms as he wondered how he would get out of this one.
