Summary: Jasper hale feels something towards a certain girl and decides to approach her
I sat in the library buried in the book I was reading when a chair next to me was pulled out
"Hey" I look up at the blonde, curly hair guy with a small smile
"What are you reading?" I turn it over and show him the cover of the book "Keep away? Haven't heard of it" I nod putting the book position back
"It's really good, about a girl fulfilling her long list of things she wants to do before she passes away"
"Seems really interesting" I push my glasses up a bit
stupid things
"It is- well so far anyway" I smile
"Do you- want to go out with me?" He stumbles out
"In what way?" I tilt my head to the side I don't want to hang out with him with me thinking it's a date and him thinking as friends
"A date. With me" I smile looking down who else would it be with?
"Uh- sure" his eyes widened like he expected me to say no
"Can I get your number to message you about the details?" I go in my pocket looking for what I need
"Here" I hand him the note with my number on it
"I'll see you" he smiles before walking away. My heart was beating 200 mph just at the thought of going on a date with him so how would I actually bee when I'm in it

I was nervous for this date. Like very nervous, but it's just Jasper. right? since the day he came up to me in the library he's always talking and hanging out with me that it seemed like no one could separate us. So why was I worrying so much?
Jasper hale I'm here. Did you dress really warm?
Me Yeah. And I'm coming out now

I walked out of the house and over to his car
"Hey Jasper" he turned to face me
"Hey Isla"
"So where are we going?" He shrugged his shoulders as I buckled up my seatbelt
"No way your doing the guessing game" he smirked keeping his eyes forward as he pulled out of the driveway
"Don't know what your talking 'bout" I smiled at his southern accent, that made him seem very much attractive
Once we pulled up my eyes immediately went out of the window
"No way" he laughed at my reaction "An ice rink? I've never been to one before"
"Never?"
"Never" I repeat. He opens his door and walks over to mine, opening the door
"Come on then" he held out his hand to me and I take it as he leads me towards the rink
"Size 8 and.." he looks to me
"5.5" he smiles at that shaking his head
Once we had our skates on we walked to the ice
"Are you gonna come onto the ice?" I looked down at it
"I'm scared" I mumble
"Here, come I'll help" he went forward and held his gloved hand out to me which I took "Ready" he walked backwards helping me into the ice "You good?" I nod as he starts to move backwards
"I'm gonna drop and die" I mumble. He laughs carrying on
"I won't drop you. Don't worry" the amount of reassurance I got from that was unreal
"I think I got it now" he raised his eyebrows
"Really?"
"Yeah" he slowly lets go and I start move forward a bit
"I'm doing it I'm- ouch" I look up at Jasper from the floor and watch as he covers his mouth amused
"I thought you was doing it?" I roll my eyes at him "Here I'll help you up" he grabs onto my hand and swiftly puts me back on my feet on the ice
"You can go back to helping me now" I mumble
After a few more laps I eventually got the hang of it
"I'm gonna let go slowly okay?" I nod and start to move forward
"I'm doing it" I go a bit faster looking at the floor to make sure I don't fall
"Isla look up, and slow down"
"You didn't tell me how to do that" my eyes widen and I crash into something but they put their arms around me keeping us both from falling
"Jasper" I mumble looking up at him. I wrap my arms around him so I don't fall "This is the end I'm gonna fall" he chuckles and helps me find my balance so I pull away "Thank you for bringing me here" he looks down at me and leans his face closer "It was my pleasure" i look up at him and put my hand on his face before attaching my lips to his in a kiss
Once we pull away he looks around us and his eyes latch on to something
"Do you want hot chocolate?" I nod squeezing my palms to get rid of the cold
"Yeah sure" we walked to the edge of the ice and took our shoes off

Once we had out hot chocolate we walked back to his car and sat in there with the heating on
"So how are you liking forks so far?"
"Really good actually I came from California so it's a bit different here. But refreshing"
"So you prefer it here? Or no?"
"Yeah, I prefer it here. Everyone seems so nice" he turns the corner and pulls up in the driveway "Thank you Jasper. I had a really good time"
"I had fun too. Will there be a second date?" he leans over his seat and I lean over mine to pull him into a kiss
"There will. See you Jasper" i unbuckled my seat belt and exited the car making my way back to the house what an amazing first date
