My mind was running on autopilot, not being able to sleep in the comfort of my room.

I was in the best conditions. A warm room, a nice blanket yet somehow my brain wouldn't shut off long enough for me to sleep

It has always been like this since I was a little girl; always being awake at late times. Up before everyone else and last one awake. It was exhausting for me, especially when I desperately wanted to sleep so I would always be tired, putting my head on the table and always fighting to keep my eyes open but even after I did close my eyes in them times

I wouldn't fall asleep

And when my body did decide to let me sleep it would only be 4 hours a night or a 20 minute nap

It was a curse and I hated it. I hated not being able to sleep like everyone else

It was such a basic human thing to do and I couldn't do it

Klaus:
Do you want to come over later today

I replied straight away

Yeah

Klaus
What are you doing awake love? I expected you to be asleep and see it in the morning

I struggled to find an answer because he didn't know that I was like this but in the end I just ended up telling him

Can't sleep

Klaus
Do you want me to come over?

Me
You don't mind?

Klaus
Of course not love I'll be there in 10'

I walked out of my bed, to the window and opened it so klaus could easily get in

10 minutes later klaus opened the window and walked inside my room before stopping at the side of the bed I was facing

"Hello love, why are you still awake?"
"Can't sleep" he slipped his shoes off and climbed into bed with me, bringing me close to him

"Is there any particular reason as to why?" I shook my head and lifted my hands to trace patterns on his chest
"You look pretty tired to me"

"You trying to say I'm ugly?" I mumbled. He chuckled and brought his lips down to my head with a smile tugging on his face

"No, your the most beautiful and ravishing person I have met in my whole life. Just more tired right now that's all" i hummed accepting his answer
"And what your wearing, is really turning me on right now" I turned my face away from klaus and tried to hide the blush on my cheeks

"They're pyjamas!"

"Yes and cute ones at that" he agreed. I huffed lightly slapping him before placing my head back on his chest

"So? Are you really going to tell me what's going on?" He asked

"I- I mean I wasn't lying"

"Technically no. But what are you not telling me?" he stops my hand that was still doing patterns on his chest and holds it in mine

"When I was 9, my mum noticed my weird sleeping patterns, if I'd even slept that is. And she took me to a professional. Who then diagnosed me with insomnia" I waited for a bad reaction, for him to tell me that he didn't like me anymore and that I was a waste space. But he didn't. He just let go of my hand and ran his through my hand

"That's what you was worried about telling me? Love that doesn't matter, I couldn't care less. I just hate you being tired" I nodded in agreement

"So do I"

"I could help you, you know. Fall sleep" I looked up to him

"Would it work?" He shrugged his shoulders

"It's worth a try" he went to compel me but I stopped him

"Wait, I'm scared. Is it going to hurt?" He shakes his head

"You will just fall asleep love. I assure you, you will come to no harm" I nodded and took off my necklace and placed it in his hands
"I'll put it on once your sleep. What time do you want to wake up?"

"10. I don't think I've ever slept past 8"

"You will go to sleep, stay peacefully dreaming of whatever your heart desires. Until 10" once he was done I slowly laid back next to klaus and picked up his hand before kissing it

"Thank you" I whispered already feeling the compulsion take full effect

"Your welcome love. Now sleep"
