"I think you should move it a bit to the side" I directed Hermann. He listened moving it slightly to the right

"Here?" I smiled nodding

"Right there" he pinned the banner up and I moved over to the bar checking how everything is going over there

"It nice you did this for Kelly Luna" I look over at shay and smile

"He deserves it. Besides it wasn't that hard" she scoffs

"Tell that to all your late nights. So how are you two anyways?" I shrug my shoulders

"I think he just sees me as a friends shay, but it's okay. I don't mind being friends if he's happy"

"Your too nice Luna"

"He's here!" I hear Hermann shout. Everyone goes quiet waiting for Kelly to walk in

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone shouted once Kelly was through the door. He stood at the front with a giant smile

"This is amazing guys!" He looked at everyone with a smile
"Who planned it?"

"I did!" We all looked to the woman who came over to 51 two weeks ago. Kelly smiled at her and walked up to her hugging her. She knew it was me that planned it because she even walked up to me praising me for my hard work

"Hermann" he looked to me and I shook my head
"Leave it" i Mouthed to him

"I can't believe you pulled all this off Taylor" Severide said to her

"Come on let's get a drink" she pulled him over to the bar and conversations started again

"Your gonna let her take the credit?" I shrug my shoulders drinking my coke

"It's not a big deal, he seemed happy knowing it was her that planned it"

"But it wasn't, it was you. And you put so much time and effort into making this perfect for him"

"And he's happy. Look" I point over to him and Taylor laughing
"The goal of this was to make him happy and he is"

"I can't believe he hasn't said a word to you once after all your work" Hermann grumbled after everyone except the molly's workers left

"He didn't know Hermann. Remember?"

"And whose fault is that?" Otis said

"Please drop this guys" I mumble. Shay rolls her eyes

The next day

Me and shay were sitting on the couch in the firehouse, watching something when Severide walked in

"Hey guys!" He shouted to everyone getting their attention

"What's with the happy mood?" Kelly shrugged

"Just a good day"

"Luna? Do you smell burning?" I heard shay say. I sniffed the air and my eyes widened

"Shit" I jumped off the sofa and into the kitchen opening the oven to reveal a burned piece of cheese on toast
"Oops" I mumble to myself

"Did Luna actually just burn cheese on toast?" Severide laughed. everyone turned to look at us making me a bit embarrassed

"It was an accident" I mumbled turning off the oven

"How can someone burn that, a bit stupid if you asked me" my eyes locked on the floor were we not like close friends like 2 days ago? What happened?
