Summary: Kelly's girlfriend goes back into a burning building to find him

Tw: fire. Passing out

"Severide get out of there now!" Chief roared into the radio. I held my breath in fear with everyone else as we stood around the building waiting for him. We heard nothing back for a moment. So I looked around. I took my chance knowing that no one else was looking at me and ran into the building pulling my mask on

"Wilson!"

"Wilson get back!" I heard the shouts from everyone else but I didn't look back. I was already in the building. knowing where Severide was, I headed there. My radio was going off to the voices of chief so I turned it off fully. I moved pieces of burned wood out the way and opened the door and looking around

"Sev?" Nothing. I panicked rushing in and saw him unconscious on the floor

"Kelly" I got on my knees taking my gloves off to feel a pulse
"thank god" I muttered catching it. I put my wrist on his chest moving it

"Kelly. Wake up" his eyes fluttered open

"Tay?" He asked dazed

"We got to get out of here" he took in his surroundings and I helped him get up

"Fuck" he groaned as i threw his arm over my shoulder walking out the room. There was fire on the ceiling, dancing about and taunting me. I looked to the stairs and watched as the fire got close. I knew we only had less than a minute to get out. That's why chief wouldn't let anyone go in to help Severide. I sighed and helped him rush past the stairs and down

"Tay" I looked up hearing something and like slow motion, watched as a piece of wood dropped from the ceiling.
"Watch out!" I threw severides shoulder off me and pushed him away from where it was falling

"Ah" it dropped on my chest, and I heard a few cracks as it landed

"Shit, shit" I muttered. I winced as I move and mustered up all the energy I could to lifting it off me.

When it was finally off I did it like a bandied. I stood up as quickly as I could and rushed over to Kelly, who I threw on the floor. But he was okay. I knew the worst that could've happened was a scrape and as I looked him over my suspicions were confirmed.

He groaned opening his eyes and I had him to help him out again, wincing as we exited the building. Once we were out I saw the relief on the teams faces but it didn't last long. I felt myself shutting of, My body giving up. I knew what was happening when I felt myself tipping to the side, and that was it, I was succumbed into the darkness

Casey's POV

We stood there watching as my best friend was in there with his girlfriend whose also gabby's best friend. We were all holding our breaths for them but some parts of us knew that they weren't gonna make it

"No way" I look up from the floor watching as Tay walks out with Kelly. We all stand there too stunned to do anything until we see the look on tays face. Me and Gabby were the first ones to rush over but by the time we got there she was passed out on the floor next to Severide who dropped when she did. I picked Severide up checking him over while Dawson and Brett checked over Tay

"I'm good I'm good. Is tay okay? Where is she? Where is Tay?"

"She passed out. Brett and Dawson's taking her to the hospital" he tried to get out of my arms

"We're gonna go to the hospital after this to see her. Let's do this, your not gonna be able to see her till later anyways" he thinks about it for a moment

"Okay"

Tates POV

I tried to open my eyes and find the source of the all to familiar voice but my body physically didn't let me. So I resulted into using my senses. Trying to point out the sound of the voice. It was a man. Comforting and sort of deep. At that point I knew who It was, Kelly. of course it was. I realised the weight on my hand was stopping me from moving it so I tried to move it around

"Tate? Tate can you hear me?" I guess it was Kelly holding my hand. With all the energy I had I was able to finally open my eyes to see Kelly looking down at me

"Kelly" my voice was hoarse like I hadn't used it in forever

"Tate. Your okay, what the hell was you
thinking?"

"You were in there"

"That doesn't mean you have to put yourself at risk"

"It doesn't matter Kelly. I'll do it again. Anytime" he moves forward pressing his lips to mine

"I love you. And don't scare me like that again" he said putting his forehead against mine

"You scared me first. But I love you too"
