"Are you ready? Isla! We got to leave!" I heard Embry shouted from Emily's door. I quickly put my book down and rushed to get to them "I'm here, sorry" I apologised. They shrugged me off not thinking of it as a big deal
"You need to be careful with this, your a newborn and although you're really good at staying calm compared to the rest of us we don't know how you will react close to vampires. So stay behind us all" I nodded "Okay" they all rushed somewhere to get changed and I go in the opposite direction before taking of my clothes, placing them in a backpack and changing forms

Once I was changed I left my backpack and we all set off, the wolves walking in front of me
We walked up to the clearing and I instantly smell the stench of vampires burning my nostrils. My face contorted to one of pain but then the scent died down a bit and I got a better scent, its like vanilla and pine, like the forest but sweeter. I inwardly smiled loving the smell and as we walked closer to our destination the smell got more prominent
Me: Do you guys smell that? I mind-linked them
Jared: The sweet burning smell? Yeah
Quil: Definitely
Me: No no the nice smell. Vanilla, it's nice
Leah: no?
Jacob: I have no idea what your talking about
I frowned and tuned them all out now noticing that we're coming up to a clearing
They all walked in front of me, blocking me from seeing anything
Me: I can't see
Jacob: good I huffed trying to stand on my tip toes to see over everyone but because I was so much smaller than everyone else there was no way I could see. So I gave up, laying down on the floor
"They don't trust us to be in their human forms" I heard a voice. I'm guessing that's Edward seen as I was told he was the mind reader
"They came, that's what matters. Will you translate?" another voice replied
Embry: that's Carlisle. I smiled thankful that someone decided to help
Me: thanks em
I heard another voice, more raspy than the others so I guessed it was Bella
"Welcome, jasper has experience with newborns" I felt my throat tighten when Carlisle said that name and I frowned
Me: did you guys feel that?
Jared: no, just you
"He can teach us how to defeat them"
"They want to know how the newborns differ from us" Edward said
