Chapter 12 - Where's Charlotte?

Charlotte hadn't been seen in 3 days and everyone was starting to worry, Chloe was trying her hardest not to turn to the alcohol again but it was getting harder for her, all she wanted was her best friend back. That morning when Chloe woke she heard Aubree giggling at something so she got out of bed and walked into Aubree's room "what you giggling at?" Aubree again giggled "mama" Chloe took Aubree from her cot and went downstairs with her "morning Chloe" Chloe didn't speak "have the police said anything?" Eddie shook his head "no, they're still searching" Chloe felt her eyes water "I want her back" Eddie sighed "we all. Do Chloe, she'll come back soon" "hopefully".

Charlotte sat on the sofa in Michael's house, she knew that people would be worrying about her but she didn't want their pity, she was getting depressed again and she didn't want that, she wanted to be happy for her baby and be the best mum possible "Charlotte, I'm leaving now" Charlotte nodded "thanks for this, you didn't have to help me" Michael smiled "I did because I care for you" Charlotte stood and hugged Michael "can you let me know how Chloe's holding up?" Michael nodded "yeah" Charlotte smiled "thanks" Michael left the house and Charlotte sat back on the sofa rubbing her stomach and looking forward too meeting her baby.

Arriving at school Michael saw Chloe sitting on the steps outside "Chloe is everything alright?" Chloe shook her head "I want Charlotte too come home, Aubree is missing her" Michael sighed "I'm sure she'll come back when she feels ready" Chloe wiped her eyes "she's pregnant and out there all alone" Michael sat with his niece "Charlotte probably needs time" Chloe nodded "I should go inside" Michael smiled "okay".

Tom was worrying about Charlotte, he was blaming himself for her disappearing like this "Eddie, any news on Charlotte?" Eddie sighed "nothing" Chloe heard Tom asking about Charlotte and stormed over to him "how dare you ask about Charlotte? YOU'RE the reason she's gone missing!" Eddie frowned "what are you on about Chloe?" Chloe turned to Eddie "Tom, he's been treating Charlotte like crap and now she's gone missing!" Eddie looked at Tom "is this true?" Tom sighed "I regret it, that's my baby she's carrying" Eddie was shocked "you? You slept with her again?" Tom sighed "it just happened" Eddie rolled his eyes "always does just happen with you!" Eddie walked off and Tom looked at Chloe "well done" Chloe rolled her eyes "don't blame me! You're the one who's made her feel like she's had to run away!" Tom glared "in future stay out of my business" Chloe scoffed "with pleasure" Chloe walked off from Tom.

Tom made his way to Michael's office but saw that he wasn't there but he left his phone behind and he noticed a text from Charlotte on it so he read it -

*Charlotte - I hope Chloe's okay. Thank you again for letting me stay with you x

Tom smiled he knew where Charlotte was, looking round he saw the house keys so he took them and left. When he arrived at Michael's he took the keys from his pocket and entered the house "Charlotte?" Charlotte came out the living room "wh-what are you doing here?" Tom sighed "Charlotte, everyone is worried about you, Chloe is going out of her mind" Charlotte sighed "I miss Chloe but you made me feel worthless" Tom looked at her "I'm sorry about that" Charlotte scoffed "I don't care, you made it perfectly clear that you want nothing more to do with me" Tom knew Charlotte hated him "look I know that's my baby and I will be there for it" Charlotte nodded "okay" "you need to come back" Charlotte sighed "I don't want too" "you need to Charlotte, everyone is going out of their mind with worry" Charlotte shook her head "no".

Chloe missed Charlotte like mad and she would give anything to have her back. Tom pulled up onto the school grounds with Charlotte "oh my god" Chloe rushed over to her "where the hell have you been?" Charlotte sighed "Michael's" Chloe frowned "why didn't he say?" "I asked him not too" Chloe pulled Charlotte into a hug just as Eddie came out "don't ever do this to me again" Charlotte smiled "I won't" Eddie held her close "I'm your dad Charlotte you can talk to me about anything. I also know that Tom is the father" Charlotte paled "I'm sorry" Eddie sighed "its alright".

Rachel and Eddie took Chloe, Charlotte and Aubree home so Charlotte could get used to being home. Aubree had clinged onto Charlotte and refused to let her go "Bree let her go" "no" Chloe grinned and sat with Charlotte and Aubree on the sofa glad that Charlotte was back.
