Chapter 83 - Engagement Party

Tom and Charlotte had been planning an engagement party as they wanted to prove their love for each other was real. It was 7am in the morning and Charlotte sat in her bed with Taitlyn, she didn't know how long she had been sitting there when her phone buzzed, looking she saw a text from Chloe -

Chloe - You looking forward too tonight? xx

Charlotte - Yeah, Its gonna be great. Are you still coming? xx

Chloe - Wouldn't miss it for the world xx

Charlotte grinned at Chloe's text and got ready for school.

Arriving Charlotte spotted Chloe with Aubree so she walked over to them "hey" Chloe looked up and grinned "hiya" Aubree giggled "mama" Chloe puck her up "what cheeky?" Aubree pointed to Charlotte "ike you" Charlotte grinned "I like you too" Aubree giggled.

Once the girls had taken Aubree and Taitlyn to the creché they made their way to registration "is Max coming tonight?" Chloe nodded "yeah, he's the designated driver" Charlotte laughed "wow, sounds fun" Chloe grinned "it is fun".

Max had just been called to an LEA meeting so he was leaving Chris in charge. He was walking to his car when Chloe approached "where are you running off to?" Max looked at her "LEA meeting" Chloe nodded "what? You been a bad man?" Max smirked "you would know all about that wouldn't you?" Chloe grinned and went to walk off when Max pulled her back to him "you fell asleep rather early last night" Chloe nodded "I know, got bored of waiting" Max nodded "I'll speak to you later" Chloe smiled and he kissed her before walking off.

Chloe sat in Maths with Eddie but she wasn't paying attention to anything that he was saying "Chloe, are you Okay?" Chloe looked to Charlotte "yeah, I'm fine" Charlotte smiled "have you spoken to your mum at all?" Chloe sighed and shook her head "no, I have no idea what to say" Charlotte smiled "maybe make small talk" Chloe nodded "yeah, I suppose so".

Max had just returned from his meeting and Rachel came up to him "look, I'm Chloe's mum and she needs me so you need to speak with her" Max sighed "she makes up her own mind, you know that" Rachel looked at him "Max, she'll listen to you" again Max sighed "I'll see what I can do" Rachel nodded and Max walked off.

It was lunchtime so Chloe sat outside with Imogen and Charlotte "I miss Aubree" Charlotte smiled "let's go and see her then" Chloe grinned "let's go". Entering the creché Chloe noticed Aubree was sitting in the corner shaking "Aubree come here baby" Aubree didn't move so Chloe and Charlotte walked over to her "Aubree, what's the matter?" Aubree held her arms out for Chloe so she puck her up "mama scared" Chloe felt her heart break for her baby girl "mummy's here isn't she? And Charlotte" Aubree hid her head on Chloe's shoulder "no go mama" Chloe smiled "I won't go".

Chloe and Charlotte spent the whole of lunchtime in the creché with Aubree and Taitlyn as Aubree refused to let go of Chloe. When the bell rang Chloe knew it was going to be impossible to get Aubree to let go "mama no go" Chloe sighed "I need too" Aubree started crying "mama pease" Chloe was trying not to cry "mummy will be back" Aubree looked up with sadness in her eyes "mama no go pease" the key-worker came and took Aubree from Chloe and she and Charlotte took the oppotunity to leave "Mama!".

Chloe was walking down the corridor with Charlotte "Chloe?" Chloe turned to Charlotte with tears streaming down her face "what's wrong?" Chloe wiped her eyes "seeing her like that, it tore me apart" Charlotte pulled Chloe into a hug as she cried "girls?" Charlotte looked to see Tom "is everything alright? Why is Chloe crying?" Charlotte sighed "Aubree got a bit emotional just and it made Chloe upset" Tom smiled "I'm sure she'll be fine Chloe, she's like her mum".
