Chapter 81 - Charlotte Knows.

Charlotte had been told that Tom had been meeting up with Davina and not told Charlotte. That morning Charlotte had ignored all of Tom's texts and phonecalls, she didn't want to know his excuses.

Chloe sat on the bed with Aubree when she received a text -

Lottie - can you meet me be4 school? Xx
Chloe - yeah, is everything okay? Xx
Lottie - yeah, I just need someone to talk too xx
Chloe - awh, meet me outside Creche xx
Lottie - okay xx

Chloe sighed just as Max came in "everything alright?" Chloe nodded "yeah" Chloe stood from the bed and puck Aubree up "we'll be downstairs" Max nodded.

Arriving at school Chloe took Aubree from the car and made her way to the creche. When she left she saw Charlotte "is everything okay?" Charlotte sighed "I don't know, I think Tom is seeing that Davina behind my back" Chloe frowned "what makes you think that?" Charlotte shrugged "I got sent a text message and it said he was with her" Chloe sighed "we'll sort it".

First lesson that day was English with Tom, when they got there Charlotte avoided looking at Tom "this feels like torture" Chloe sympathetically smiled "it'll be fine". Halfway through the lesson Charlotte couldn't look at Tom "are you okay?" Charlotte shook her head "I can't do this" Charlotte stood and after gathering her things she walked out "Charlotte?" She left the classroom in tears.

The English lesson had ended but Chloe needed to speak with Tom. When the classroom was empty Chloe spoke up "I know why Charlotte left the classroom" Tom looked at Chloe "why?" Chloe sighed "she knows about your son Dylan" Tom paled "who told her?" Chloe looked at him "we saw you in the park with them" Tom sighed "I was going to tell her" Chloe shrugged "you didn't though, and if I remember you had a right go at her when she didn't tell you she was pregnant" Chloe stood and left.

Charlotte had bumped into Steph Haydock who had come to visit Grantly "so come on, what's got you all worked up?" Charlotte sighed "I'm assuming you know about me having Tom's baby" at Steph's nod Charlotte continued "well I found out that he has another child with Davina Shakleton" Steph frowned "she told him that?" Charlotte nodded "me and Chloe saw them together in the park" Steph sighed "the thing about that is, Davina's son isn't Tom's" Charlotte frowned "what?" Steph spoke up again "Davina's son, isn't Tom's he's Jack Rimmer's" Charlotte nor Steph were aware that Tom had walked in "what?" Charlotte turned to him "I'm sorry" Tom turned and left.

Max was sitting in his office when Rachel came in "what can I do for you?" Rachel looked at him "how are things going with the wedding planning?" Max nodded "fine" Rachel smiled "whens the date?" Max smirked "Chloe will have to tell you" Rachel frowned "you seem rather defensive to tell me anything, it is my daughter who's unfortuantley marrying you" Max smirked again "she chose to say yes" Rachel rolled her eyes "you probably manipulated her into saying yes" Max sighed "Rachel, go" Rachel left the office.

School was nearly over and Chloe was looking forward to being able to relax with Aubree. Chloe had a free period so she was sitting in the library thinking about stuff when she felt someone sit opposite her, looking up she saw Max "problem?" Max looked into her eyes "your mother came to me earlier" Chloe groaned "what's she said?" Max smirked "that I manipulated you into agreeing to marry me" Chloe scoffed "really? She said that?" Max nodded "yes" Chloe rolled her eyes "I'm assuming you said something back" Max shook his head "I told her to leave" Chloe nodded "well that was very mature" Max smirked and left.

Charlotte went looking for Tom and found him in his classroom "hi" Tom looked up "hiya" Charlotte sat on one of the desks "I'm sorry" Tom sighed "you weren't to know, I thought he was my son" Charlotte shook her head "no, I'm sorry that I didn't talk too you about it" Tom smiled "its fine" Charlotte stood "I should go" Tom nodded and he watched as Charlotte walked off.

School had eventually ended so Chloe went to get Aubree to find she wasn't there "who ttook her?" The keyworker looked up "Mr.Tyler" Chloe nodded and left the creche just as Charlotte came down "where's Aubree?" Chloe smiled "Max already took her" Charlotte nodded "oh okay" Chloe frowned "are you okay?" Charlotte nodded "yeah I'm fine" Chloe smiled "good" Charlotte sighed "Miss.Haydock told me that Davina's son isn't Tom's, he's Jack Rimmers" Chloe frowned "he was the headteacher that was there before my mum took over" Charlotte nodded "I know, I feel so stupid, I should have just spoke to Tom" Chloe hugged Charlotte "I should go, text me if you need me" Charlotte smiled "I will".

Charlotte sat at home with Eddie while Rachel was ranting about Max not telling her any wedding plans "I mean Chloe is my daughter, I should be told about her wedding" Eddie sighed "Rach, maybe Chloe doesn't know anything yet" Rachel rolled her eyes "Max still could have told me something, I don't even know the date" Eddie smiled "maybe Max is trying to surprise Chloe, he does love her Rach".

Chloe and Max were still at the school as Max had a meeting with Mrs.Barry so while Max was in the meeting Chloe was sitting outside with Aubree and Barry approached "hiya gorgeous" Chloe looked up and groaned "what do you want?" Barry sat next to Chloe just as Aubree came over "mama go dada?" Chloe smiled and Barry spoke up "she's a cute kid" Chloe nodded "when she wants to be".

When they got home Chloe noticed her mum was there "Mum?" Rachel sighed "Chloe, are you happy being here?" Chloe frowned "how do you mean?" Rachel again sighed "are you with Max because he's Aubree's father?" Chloe was shocked "no, I'm with him because I love him" Rachel frowned "you don't mean that Chloe" Chloe rolled her eyes "yeah I do mean it, if I didn't mean it would I have agreed to marry him?" Rachel sighed "Chloe, I'm sorry" Chloe shrugged and took Aubree from the car.

Rachel returned home and Eddie had just made dinner "Rach, just in time" Rachel smiled "hiya" Rachel sat at the table and sighed "is everything okay?" Rachel looked up "I've just been to see Chloe, she really does love him" Charlotte smiled "Chloe's growing up, she'll always be your daughter but she has her own life too live" Rachel nodded.

After settling Aubree Chloe went for a shower and went back downstairs,"you okay?" Chloe nodded "yeah, what really happened when my mum came to see you earlier?" Max sighed "she asked for details of the wedding and I didn't give them to her" Chloe frowned "why didn't you tell her the date?" Max sighed "she should find out when you send invitations" Chloe nodded "yeah" Chloe walked over to Max and sat on his leg "be honest, why did you wanna get my mum out of Waterloo Road, and why use me?" Max sighed "I wanted to be the headteacher, and your mum stood in the way, and using you well it made sense, I don't regret that or our daughter" Chloe grinned and kissed him, he took her upstairs but before anything could happen Chloe heard a noise "wait" Max stopped "what?" Chloe got him off her and she stood from the bed and walked over to the window "Chloe?" Chloe sighed "I think you may have a stalker" Max got up from the bed and walked over to Chloe where they saw the girl who had a crush on him "what is she doing here?" Max sighed "come on" "but Max" Chloe couldn't finish as Max kissed her and took her back to the bed.

A couple of hours later Chloe was thinking why that girl was standing outside but she put it back to the back of her mind and fell asleep.
