Chapter 70 - Lunch Dates

Charlotte hadn't been the same since everyone had found out about her engagement to Tom and she had been shutting herself off from people. That morning Charlotte went downstairs and saw Eddie with Taitlyn "morning" Charlotte gave a small smile.

Chloe and Max had just arrived in school "lunchtime come to the office" Chloe frowned "why?" Max smiled "I'm taking you out for lunch" Chloe nodded "okay" Chloe took Aubree from Max and went to take her to the creché. Leaving the creché she saw Charlotte with Taitlyn "are you okay?" Charlotte nodded "I'm fine" Chloe smiled "okay".

While in registration Chloe was ignoring Rhiannon questioning her as to why Charlotte was being ignorant "Rhiannon. Shut up" Rhiannon frowned "why is she ignoring everyone?" Chloe rolled her eyes "maybe she's fed up of people butting in her private life" before Rhiannon could say anything the bell rang for first lesson which happened to be English.

The English lesson was going incredibly slow and it was doing Charlotte's head in, she wanted to get out of there. Chloe noticed Charlotte's agitated state and sent her a sympathetic look. When the lesson had ended Charlotte was the first to leave the classroom "Chloe, is Charlotte Okay?" Chloe sighed "she's fine" Tom nodded.

Charlotte wanted school to be over, she wanted to go home and get away from everyone. As it was breaktime Charlotte sat on the bench outside thinking about things. She didn't know how long she had been sitting there when Chloe came and sat with her "are you okay?" Charlotte nodded "yeah, I'm fine" Chloe smiled "good" Charlotte sighed "yeah, suppose so" Chloe frowned "tell me what's wrong" Charlotte sighed "everyone is looking at me weird since they found out I was engaged to Tom" Chloe smiled "ignore them, they've nothing better to do" Charlotte nodded "Okay".

Max hadn't told Chloe but he had arranged a date for their wedding, he wanted her to have the best day.

Chloe and Charlotte had P.E so they got changed into their P.E kits and went outside to where Miss.Boston was "girls, we're doing cross country" Chloe groaned "you having us on?" Miss.Boston smiled "do I look like I'm joking?" Chloe rolled her eyes but she began moving.

It was lunchtime so Chloe made her way to Max's office. When she got there she saw Kim there so she walked in "ah Chloe, are you ready?" Chloe nodded "yeah" Kim frowned "where you going?" Max grabbed his jacket "somewhere" Kim watched as Chloe and Max left.

Chloe was confused  as to why Max had took her out "what's all this about?" Max smirked and handed her a piece of paper with a date on Chloe frowned "it's a date, for what?" Max took her hand "our wedding" Chloe was shocked "serious?" Max nodded "of course" Chloe grinned "wow".

Leaving the restaurant Chloe stopped Max before he could get into the car Chloe stopped him "wait" Max turned to her "what?" Chloe didn't speak, instead she kissed him "I love you" Max smirked and kissed her back.

Arriving back at the school Chloe got out the car and went looking for Charlotte, she found her sitting with Josh "is everything okay?" Charlotte nodded "yeah" Chloe sat with her "I have a date for my wedding" Charlotte smiled "when?" Chloe whispered into Charlotte's ear the date.

Chloe had walked off so Charlotte turned to Josh "I wanna live with Tom" Josh frowned "serious?" Charlotte nodded and she went to walk off so Josh went to find Chloe.

Chloe had just left Max's office just as Josh approached her "what?" Josh sighed "Charlotte, she said she wants too live with my dad" Chloe frowned "she did?" Josh nodded "yeah" Chloe sighed "come on".

Tom sat in his classroom when Chloe and Josh came in "we need to talk" Tom frowned "about?" Chloe looked at Josh and nodded so he spoke "Charlotte said she wants too live with us" Tom was shocked "when?" "just now" Tom sighed "I'll talk too her" Chloe turned and left the classroom.

It was the last lesson of the day which was Maths with Rachel. During the lesson Chloe was drowning her mum out by playing Candy Crush "Chloe, are you paying attention?" Chloe nodded "yeah" Rachel sighed but carried on teaching. The lesson ended and Chloe stood to leave "Chloe, wait a moment" Chloe groaned. When everyone had gone Chloe looked at her mum "what's this about?" Rachel smiled "I've noticed you've been looking tired alot lately" Chloe sighed "Aubree hasn't been sleeping" Rachel smiled "how about I have her this weekend" Chloe shrugged "if you want, I'll drop her off on Friday" Rachel nodded and Chloe went to Max's office where Aubree was.

Tom had spoken to Charlotte and he had told her if she wanted to live with him then they would talk to Eddie together this weekend. When Charlotte got home she sat with Taitlyn on the sofa while Eddie and Rachel made dinner "we're having Aubree this weekend" Eddie nodded "okay, we can take her and Taitlyn to the park" Rachel smiled knowing her granddaughter would love that as she loved being outside. After dinner Charlotte bathed Taitlyn and got her settled for bed before saying goodnight to everyone and heading to bed.

Chloe had told Max that Aubree was staying with her mum at the weekend and he agreed. When Aubree was asleep Chloe left her bedroom and went downstairs to where Max was "what made you think of the wedding date?" Max smirked "because I had to do something to motivate you" Chloe grinned "motivate me?.wow". Chloe went up to bed that night and fell asleep instantly.
