Chloe was the only one who knew about Charlotte and Tom being engaged and she had promised not to tell anyone. That morning when Chloe woke she saw that she had a text from Max -

*Max - we need to talk. My office.

Chloe frowned but she didn't reply, she wasn't in the mood for Max's mood yet so she got out of bed and got dressed. Once she was dressed she got Aubree up. When Charlotte had got Taitlyn ready the girls left, Eddie and Rachel had an early morning staff meeting so the girls were walking "Aubree is two tomorrow" Chloe grinned "I know, I can't believe it" Charlotte smiled "she's still gonna be cute when she's 15" Chloe groaned "no, I don't wanna think about that" Charlotte laughed "I reckon she'll be like you when she's older" Chloe again groaned "nope, she's gonna be a good girl".

When they arrived at school Charlotte and Chloe took their girls to the creche. Once they were settled they left "I believe I was due at Max's office like yesterday" Charlotte laughed "have fun" Chloe winked and went to the office. When she got there she saw him sitting at his desk so she walked in "I'm here, what's this about?" Max looked up and smirked "tomorrow" Chloe frowned "what about tomorrow?" Max again smirked "our daughter's second birthday" Chloe nodded "yeah, I'm aware, why?" "Didn't you say you wanted us both to do something with her?" Chloe smiled and nodded "didn't think you'd remember, and seeing as my uncle is the headmaster he's arranging a small party in the hall for her" Max nodded and Chloe continued "you gonna be there?" Max frowned "I wouldn't miss my daughter's birthday" Chloe nodded "I should go to registration" Max nodded.

Chloe met with Charlotte outside registration "everything okay?" Chloe nodded "yeah" Charlotte smiled "what did Max want?" Chloe grinned "talk about Aubree" Charlotte nodded and they walked into the classroom. During registration Charlotte kept looking at her engagment ring "are you okay?" Charlotte smiled at Chloe "I still can't believe I'm engaged" Chloe grinned "join the club" Charlotte sighed "Eddie's gonna hate me isn't he?" Chloe shook her head "course he's not, he wants you too be happy" Charlotte again sighed "he barely tolerates Tom because of Taitlyn, how's he gonna feel when he finds out we're engaged" Chloe smiled "the way I see it is this, you do what makes you happy, if you wanna marry Tom do it, if we had parental approval for anything then we wouldn't have our beautiful daughters" Charlotte smiled "thanks Chloe" Chloe grinned "no worries, but I meant it, only do what makes you happy" Charlotte nodded "I will".

After registration Chloe and Charlotte made their way to English "this is the first time I've seen Tom since he proposed" Chloe grinned "you've got that fluttery feeling haven't you?" Charlotte nodded "yeah, I have and I don't like it" Chloe laughed "awh Charlotte" Charlotte groaned "this isn't fair" Chloe smirked "life isn't fair, we just have to deal with it". While in English Tom and Charlotte kept glancing at each other when no-one was looking, Charlotte got her phone and text him -

*Charlotte - I can see u staring. Ur making it obvious ;)

*Tom - well you're beautiful. Can't blame me for staring x

*Charlotte - haha, get back 2 teaching

Tom looked up and gave a quick wink to Charlotte which made her grin and Chloe noticed "are you serious?" Charlotte flushed red with embarrasment "I can't help it, he's amazing" Chloe rolled her eyes "wow, I'm so glad I don't have Max as a teacher" Charlotte laughed "you did though, and you never attended his lessons" Chloe grinned "I know, didn't miss anything important though" Charlotte shrugged "I don't know, you missed the 'safe sex' lesson" Chloe grinned "that must have been fun" Charlotte shook her head "nope, it was embarrasing" Chloe laughed "I can just picture it now".
