Chapter 69 - A Secret Wedding ?

Charlotte had been trying to keep her engagement a secret from everyone at school but it was getting harder to. That morning Charlotte sat on her bed and Taitlyn was with Tom, just as she had finished getting ready her phone signalled a text -

Chloe - R U OK? xx

Charlotte - Yeah, I'm fine xx

Chloe - good, I'll see you at school xx

Charlotte smiled and headed downstairs to see Eddie and Rachel looking in wedding magazines "Charlotte, are you alright?" Charlotte nodded "yeah".

Arriving at school Charlotte saw Chloe and Max so she walked over to them "morning" Chloe grinned "hey" Max took Aubree from Chloe as he was taking her to creché and he walked off "so, how's things?" Chloe shrugged "can't complain" Charlotte smiled "what did you and your Fianceé do last night?" Chloe laughed "I slept".

While in registration Charlotte had hidden her engagement ring "why are you hiding your hand?" Chloe looked up from playing Candy Crush on her phone "none of your business" Rhiannon looked at Chloe "has she got an infection?" Chloe rolled her eyes "bugger off you nosey cow" Charlotte smiled and left the classroom with Chloe.

Tom stood watching Charlotte and Chloe talking so he walked over to them "Charlotte can I have a word?" Charlotte had to hide her grin as she followed Tom but what they didn't know was that Rhiannon was following them. Once in the classroom Tom turned to Charlotte "you've not told anyone have you?" Charlotte shook her head "no, why?" Tom smiled "no reason" Charlote nodded and Tom moved closer to her "I can't wait too make you my wife" Charlotte grinned "you're engaged to Clarkson?!" Tom turned to see Rhiannon with a smirk on her face "Rhiannon" before Tom could say anything Rhiannon walked off "she's gonna say something".

Chloe was standing in the corridor when Imogen came up to her "is it true?" Chloe frowned "is what true?" "that Charlotte is engaged to Mr.Clarkson?" Chloe was shocked "who told you?" Imogen grinned "it is true!" Chloe rolled her eyes "Imogen who told you?" Imogen sighed "Rhiannon, she's spreading it around the school" Chloe nodded "where is she?!".

Charlotte left Tom's classroom to see people whispering "she's the one engaged to Clarkson" Charlotte paled as Tom left "they know" Tom sighed "Rhiannon" Charlotte nodded.

Max was walking through the school when he saw Chloe storming down  the corridor "OI!"  Max watched as Chloe stormed towards Rhiannon "you interfering cow! You can't keep your nose out can you!?" Rhiannon smirked "they shouldn't be discussing it in a school then" Chloe rolled her eyes and punched Rhiannon "Chloe, office now!" Chloe looked at Rhiannon "keep out of other people's business" Max took hold of Chloe's arm and pulled her to the office.

Once in the office Max turned to Chloe "what was all that about?" Chloe sighed "she's an interfering cow" Max glared "that's no reason to punch her" Chloe shrugged "oh well" Max looked at her "you're making this worse for yourself " Chloe stood to leave "I haven't finished with you" Chloe turned back to him "what?" Max stood from the desk and walked over to Chloe placing his hands on her waist "you will apologise to Rhiannon" Chloe scoffed "yeah right" Max kissed her briefly but she didn't kiss back "you're going too apologise to Rhiannon" Chloe raised her eyebrows "no I'm not" Chloe pushed Max away and walked out the office.

Charlotte was sitting in the bathroom when her phone went off signalling a text -

Tom - my classroom now x

Charlotte sighed but made her way to Tom's classroom. When she got there she saw Tom pacing "what?" Tom smiled "marry me" Charlotte frowned "I've said I would" Tom grinned "no, marry me today" Charlotte was shocked "what?" Tom looked at her "I called the Registry Office and there's been a cancellation" Charlotte didn't know what to say.

The LEA were in the school doing an inspection so when they heard about a student being engaged to a member of staff they went to Mr.Tyler to get some answers.

Max was sitting in his office when the door knocked "come in" he looked up and saw the LEA "we have a problem Mr.Tyler" Max frowned "and that would be?" "we have heard rumors that a member of staff is involved with a pupil" Max frowned "which member of staff?" The LEA guy sighed "Mr.Clarkson" Max nodded "right" "were you aware of this relationship?" Max shook his head "no" the LEA guy nodded "right, well we're hoping you do something about this" Max sighed "I'll talk to Mr.Clarkson and the pupil" The LEA guy nodded although Max had no intention of speaking to Tom or Charlotte.

Chloe was sitting in the library with Imogen when her phone went off, looking she saw a text from Max -

Max - Office.

Chloe stood "where are you going?" Chloe sighed "somewhere" Imogen watched as Chloe left. When she got to Max's office she saw him sitting on the desk "what?" Max sighed "we have a problem" Chloe frowned "what problem?" Max looked at her "the LEA know about Tom and Charlotte being engaged" Chloe was shocked "how did they find out?" Max sighed "the rumor's that are going around" Chloe nodded just as she received a text message -

Lottie - Me and Tom are going too get married!!! xx

Chloe - WHAT?!

Lottie - we're getting married, today!! xx

Chloe didn't reply as she looked at Max "problem?" Chloe nodded "Tom and Charlotte have gone to get married" Max frowned as Chloe showed him the text.

Tom and Charlotte arrived at the Registry office and Tom walked over to the reception while Charlotte sat down, she was beginning to freak out abit. Tom came and sat next to her and he took her hand. When their names were called Charlotte was freaking out "I can't do this" Tom frowned "what?" Charlotte looked at him "I can't do it Tom" Tom watched as Charlotte started hyperventlating "calm down" Charlotte shook her head "I can't do this". Tom got his phone and text Eddie -

Tom - can you come to Greenock  Registry Office?

Eddie - Why?

Tom - Just do it.

Eddie arrived and saw Charlotte panicking "what's going on?" Tom sighed "we were gonna get married but Charlotte started freaking out" Eddie glared "you were gonna marry my daughter without telling me" Tom sighed "I'm sorry" Eddie helped Charlotte up "come on, I'll take you back to school".

Chloe had just collected Aubree from the creché when Tom came down "where's Charlotte?" Tom sighed "she's with Eddie, we didn't go through with it" Chloe frowned "why not?" "Charlotte started freaking out" Chloe was shocked "is she okay?" Tom nodded "I'm having Taitlyn again tonight, Eddie's taken Charlotte home" Chloe nodded "okay".

Charlotte sat on the sofa with Eddie "I'm sorry Eddie, I never meant for it too happen like that" Eddie sighed "I know". As soon as they had dinner Charlotte went up bed falling asleep.

Chloe had just settled Aubree and went back downstairs "is she okay?" Chloe nodded "yeah, she's fine" Max nodded and when Chloe sat on the sofa he started kissing her, she kissed back before pulling away and going upstairs with him. A couple hours later Chloe heard Aubree crying so she climbed out of bed to check on her  "hey baby, what's wrong?" Aubree pointed to the floor and Chloe saw her teddy so she puck it up and gave it back to Aubree before getting her settled again and heading back to bed herself.
